I like the rain quite a bit, the roof of my house is metal & my bedroom is upstairs so i get that awesome sleepy sound of rain on the roof. Makes me tired just thinking about it & its raining right know. I love a nice steady rain the most, thunder storms, while awesome tend to get a bit to annoying when they keep waking me up by shaking the whole house & I like the light show that comes with them.

I love the rain. The soft pitter-patter of rain on the roof, the occasional squall, the fierce thunder and lightning. It all has that very calming feeling to it. And I think thunderstorms are just plain cool to watch.

There is also the times I like being out in the rain. Everything's much more fun when you're wet (Take that however you want).

Perfect sleeping weather, and when it's really heavy and cold, I go hyper and start loving sports even more than usual.

I always hated rain. Rain, overcast skies, and clouds in general. It looks depressing and gray and muddy. In PA we'd go months with mostly shitty weather, so rain was never anything special.

I've been in Dallas, Texas for the past three years, and I'm just now starting to hate rain a little less. It's probably rained less than 4 times since May, and for a while I thought the entire city was going to spontaneously combust. I didn't think it would be possible to get tired of straight sunny weather, but I'm finally starting to.

I still hate snow.

I love it.
When it's not raining too hard i love to walk the streets because everyone's trying to avoid going outside.
When it is raining hard, it's nice to be inside, watching and hearing the rain.

I guess it has some clensening effect, but it also has an almost nostalgic feel to it (like Purple Rain and November Rain).

I live in semi-arid chaparral, right next to a pair of deserts. I love rain, and overcast skies in general; it means the sun isn't going to be blaring, and the air will be cooler and fresher.

The only time I ever came to dislike rain was being in Japan during the summer, when it could rain at literally any moment while having absolutely no effect on the (humidity-enhanced) hot temperature.
This is exactly my situation. I grew up in Southern California, in rural chaparral, and rain felt like a rare miracle to be treasured. I loved it more than anyone else did and could never understand why they always complained.

Now I live in Northwest Florida and rain feels like the weather is sneezing or having some other biological function...

It's rained all day and I love it. It's cosy to be inside and when I'm outside it's just water! I prefer snow, but rain is nice as well.

Born in Glasgae, so rain comes second nature, I love wind and rain, just as long as it is a proper heavy rain- not some annoying light drizzle.

It just started to thunderstorm here and, since I'm desperate for a topic of discussion at the moment, I started to wonder about others opinions on rain.
I agree that heavy rain is much more amusing than cold CENSORED drizzle that simultaneously blinds me and chills me to the bone marrow while cycling to work.
Rarely does it get so warm here that it coincides with rain, which is also rather rare.
I positively love to bike through sunlit rain.
It is actually raining right now, not much and it's pitch black and cold outside, but at least it freshens the air i suppose.

Even rarer is substantial thunderstorms, i only recall one passing directly over our house once, about a decade ago.
I remember laying on my floor bed in my small rented room listening to the thunders through my open window down south in the big city.

I love the rain, apart from when I want to ride my motorbike. But apart from that love it.

I like watching thunderstorms and the like out my large bedroom window (its a foot above the floor and a foot below the ceiling).
[sub]I also have a thing for kissing and the like in the rain.[/sub]

I love the rain.
The only time I don't like it when I have to walk to work which is a forty five minute walk.
other than that I prefer it to suny days.

When I'm inside and I don't have to go outside for any reason, I fucking love rain.

But if I have to go out for any reason, even if it's just to get to my car, I hate it. Same with snow/snowstorms. As long as I'm inside, I can enjoy them.

I'm beginning to feel a little weird reading this thread with all its love of rain. Rain sucks, makes you damp all day, everything smells of wet dog, the streets look worse than ever and overcast skys make me sad.

Clearly some of you have been spoiled with too many vibrant, warm sunny days and a little bit of variation looks appealing. Well, do I have the offer for you! I'll trade you Scotland's constantly overcast, cold rainy weather for any weather that is dry more than half the year with an average temperature of 25 degrees during the summer. Deal? No take backs!

I love listening to rain and thunderstorms when I'm about to go to sleep. It's so calming to hear rumbling thunder and the sound of rain on the roof. And I love to play in the rain as long as its mildly warm out.
