Opinions on the Mega Man Legends series + Mega Man Legends 3

I, personally, quite liked Mega Legends despite it's flaws. It hasn't aged that well but is still fun to play. Mega Man Legends 2 even moreso (it is better). Although the voice acting is mostly terrible, and the turning mechanic is god-awful at first, I still enjoy the game. Also, Data's dance!:

Legends has been getting some love, lately. With Tronne Bonne being back in Marvel Vs Capcom 3, and Keiji Inafune announcing the 3rd game in the series (10 years after Legends 2).

I can't wait for 3, and I might even go and dig up 1 & 2 to play. What do you think of these games, Escapist? Are you excited for Mega Man Legends 3?

I too really liked the Legends series. Loved them when I was a kid, then I found them recently and played again. They're good, even with the B-rate voice acting, the hard to follow story (especially in ML2), and the overall easy enemies. I just hope that they put Legends 3 on something other than the 3DS.

I, for one, hope there will be several possible endings. Let's face it: At least half the fanbase would like nothing more than to see Mega Man dump his childhood friend (and ADOPTIVE SISTER) Roll and go with villainous sky pirate Tron instead - and the other half would go berserk if that should turn out to be the ONLY option!

I mean, holy crap, everyone loved the servbots. Why the hell else are they in Dead Rising 1 & 2 after all? The creator himself loved them so much as to include them in other games he oversaw.

It'll be nice to see Purifier Trigger come back from Elysium. Poor guy's been stuck there for quite a while now. I have no idea what new story there'd be really. After all, now the Carbons don't have to worry about being destroyed and the Reaverbots have all shut down if I recall correctly. What'll be the new enemy?

Loved the series, and I was playing the first one just last night. I hope they make it. A handheld version might be nice, but I hope they do it well.

Yeah, the only issue I have is that they are making it for the 3DS, which has a potential cost of $300. Personally... I really wish they went with the Wii if they wanted to go with Nintendo...

I personally LOVED the legends games, sadly I never beat either one... but that would change if only they released them on PSN...

It's actually about $200, Nintendo priced it.

I rather like the idea of a 3D environment on the 3DS...
Now my main concern: Will Trigger sound like a lost retard like he did in Legends 2?
Seriously, the change in voice actor (and overall character) went from being "Well-meaning, Adventurous Boy Wonder" to "Clueless, Champion of the Short Bus".
And I honestly don't know why they did that.

That destroying the mother system and the original human backups kinda sent out a shutdown command to all the reaverbots since there really was no reason for them to protect the ruins anymore. Guess I remember poorly. Very poorly. Like, so poorly I remember the opposite of what happened.
