Origin of your Username (If it's not your real one)

My username is the mushroom club, which is the club that I own and run. My usual username, Bogoblin, comes from Bokoblin, a creature from LoZ: TWW.
I'm pretty sure I said my story, but might as well tell it again.
I started out playing Runescape (yeah yeah, get over it) as every kid plays it one way or another. I started out with a character that I named after myself and a number after it, stupid I know, but I was young and hardly knew anything about the internet.
One day someone said my name/username and I didn't know if they meant me in real life or the game me, so I panicked and logged off. I went over to my dad, asked him to make me a new account (I liked Runescape at the time!) and he went over and created the account.
The name of the account he created was Jumplion.
And thus, my internet double was formed.

I do like Futurama and can perhaps tie my username in a vague subconscious way to it, but no conscious memory caused this decision. I know I'm missing something obvious here.soulsabr said:

As for my name; well my real-world name begins with D but its a rather strange name. I was trying to think of a gamertag to use for Xbox live and simply entered 987 as they were numbers next after each other. Of course I regret this decision - and the idea to use it as my Escapist username.
Mine is a name I made while playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein when I was 12. It has stuck ever since.
