I say Ork cause "Orks is da biggest and da strongest!!!" I'm sure that pisses off my hyper-Tolkien-fan mother to no end.

Edit:Oops. I forgot. WAAAGH!!!

Ork is only from Warhammer, Orc is everywhere else. I'd say it's pretty clear.

Then again, there are no Arrer Boyz anywhere else...

Well, i have to say that i go with Ork only in warhammer 40k.
Everything else, Orc, be it Tolkien, D&D, Elder Scrolls, whatever.

Also, I always write Demon, i find Daemon quite weird. Though it makes that winged Daemon Prince even more badass (from 40k) when it's spelled "Daemon".

Also, the waagh banner is getting bigger by the second.
The ammount of Ork quotes here is staggering.

So, I'm gonna do something not smart at all.

Khm, khm.

FOR THE EMPEROR! (space marines, woo-hoo!)
I hope none of the Ork fans here will come to my house and murder me with an axe...

*baby crying* Does that answer your question?
You said Waaaah, not WAAAAAAAGGH! I get what you meant though.

I prefer the word Orc, even in 40k. It just rolls off the brain better (if that makes any sense). My Orks are basically Orcs anyway, you see. Yes, I do own an army of them. Besides, I grew up with Tolkien's spelling, and I have the feeling that as a language scholar he'd tear his skin off if he saw people using a K at the end.

First, thanks you all of you for your posts and opinions. I'm glad things havn't gotten too out of hand yet (we might need to call the Space marines to keep hold of vallorn though).

Second, to those who are still wondering which way I go, I say this...

-really deep breath-

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to add how do people spell Demon/Daemon.
Biblical/traditional 'horns and wings and goats legs' = demons
Sci-fi/fantasy/horror 'shapeless horrors, chaotic, animalistic, spawned from nightmare etc' = daemons

OT: I go with the WH method of Space Orkz or fantasy Orcs.

I've pretty much always called them 'Ork'. Not too sure why, but that is how I refer to them. It sounds the same anywho
