Hmm lemme see, my hobbies...
Lemme list these bastards in point form for ease of reading and improved listing clarity.
- Researching world problems, and putting deep constructive thought into all of the elements involved and coming up with solutions to each and every one of them.
- Inventing things, or devising upgrades for currently existing devices, sometimes if I have the money for parts I even *Gasp* tinker with things and actually implement said upgrades to see if they work as I think they will.
- Writing short pieces of fiction, usually it's the kind that starts off either steady and pleasant, or gritty and straightfaced, only to take some kind of psychotic twist and either get incredibly depressing and horrible, or turns out to be far more cheerful that anyone could ever expect.
- Coming up with concepts and story outlines for movies, then trying to estimate a budget for even the most reduced production value version of it, then giving up and drinking a couple beers and forgetting about it.
- Plotting to overthrow various countries using plans that could realistically work based on research into widely held cultural beliefs, current living conditions of the majority of the populace, known criminal organizations and their role in society, amongst other things.
- Working on cars, whenever I have one to work on, can't just go around fixing and modifying other people's cars, although I admit it would be kinda funny.
- Working, I consider it a hobby, simply because I sometimes do it for no pay because I'm bored.
- Drinking (I think this counts as a hobby).
- Helping other people gain a greater understanding of the technology available to them so that they can actually use some of the things they have more productively(or less productively, cuz TVs don't exactly help you get anything done).
- Contemplating life and all that life involves, thus developing a more complete understanding and a more complete and productive life philosophy.
- Wandering aimlessly all over town because I can contemplate and plot as I walk, and sitting around just makes me feel cooped up after awhile.

I don't have a "Favourite car to work on" persay, as the enjoyability itself comes from a variety of different things, ease of access, or a roomy engine compartment, are usually plusses there, as I don't tend to have a garage to work in or a hoist to pull the engine out entirely, so those are plusses... However I've buggered around with 1980s toyotas and such easily enough so not always an issue.yeti585 said:

I WAS restoring a 1970 Dodge Polara, before I moved, and left it on the other side of the country, I still own it, just can't work on it, and even though I've tried to sell it, nobody seems to want to buy it, at least not for more than $500 which is a shame considering all the work I've done to it over the years...

Also, I'm a flight simmer, I build PCs and I visit quite a few airshows during the summer months. I used to combine my photography with a little birdwatching in the summer months too, but that's tailed-off over the last couple of years.

I followed an instructable "How to make Oogoo" (No idea what oogoo is) when I started. You get a feel for the proportions pretty quickly, but the fellow does suggest a few good starting places.
I read. That's the predominant thing.

I've recently become more interested in prop making again. My Tom Baker scarf is almost done, but the stupid knitting shops in the area are all out of my red wool until February for some reason... I've also dabbled with the thought of making the <url=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b1/Sixth_Doctor.jpg/200px-Sixth_Doctor.jpg>Colin Baker coat, I'm just not sure if I'm ready for something that needs that much sewing and measuring.
I also regret probably not having the space for basic metalwork, that would improve the range of things I could make drastically.

Recently started a blog with a friend from the escapist! 
and in the process learning various bits and pieces about HTML and CSS so beneficial to my work in IT as well.
Learning that google is a very powerful network and how well everything can tie in together e.g.
Blogger.com ran by google ties into your youtube account, you can then tie in a twitter account to this, if you own a domain you can transfere the name servers to google to let them manage it as well thus letting you setup a free mailbox with them for your domain etc.
The blog itself is just our experiences with games and has a large section of Mojangs new game Scrolls for those intrested take a look in my profile for a link

Books. I love books. Any genre any subject. I just wish that I didn't read them so quickly, I envy those that can actually savor the books they read.
Also if a book doesn't coincide with my interests for whatever reason I can't read them, it comes to a point where my attempts to read this hypothetical book are as doomed to failure as an artist attempting to chisel a perfect replica of David using only their ass-cheeks.
