I enjoy reading, drawing with pixel art and on paper and I used to try and write poetry but really sucked at it so gave up. I used to make some really sloppy, page by page comics and stories inspired by dragon ball Z when I was a kid with my sister and a friend of mine. I want to start them back up with my current mentality and drawing style but never get around to it. I like doing arts and crafts, making bracelets or lizards made from beads and string, origami is another thing I like to do.

Boxing; going to the gym; I'll join in any teamsport for fun;
Food. And that's not a joke. My second favourite part about going on holiday is trying out all kinds of new dishes and checking to see how international resteraunts/snackbars compare. So yeah, a genuine hobby as far as I'm concerned.
Then comes my love for media & art. Hence the Escapist. So, in no particular order:
-Reading
-Writing (finished nothing longer than a novella)
-Watching movies
-Watching comedy shows
-Keeping up on current events
-Going to galleries
-And recently: actually making video games myself. Nothing fancy, yet. I've just been fidling about with a few flash games. Trying to get my head around platformer mechanics at the moment.

I read a lot of non-fiction, but most of it pertains to either brewing beer or guitars.
Heck, that actually sounds pretty cool. I'd read a book about brewing guitars if you told me where I could find one.

You're a fan, so you're probably going to correct me on this, but I'm pretty sure you can't count anime and manga as two separate hobbies.
Also, buying stuff? Shopping in other words. I really do not get people who "like" shopping. Sure, women in general enjoy it, but I gave up the female brain as being an incomprehensible maze long ago. Personally, my vision of hell is an infinitely long shopping street engulfed in flames. But somehow the shops won't bloody burn...
Uhhh, sorry. Flashback for a moment. I do like to browse in shops containing my beloved media though. But then I don't do that often enough to really call it a hobby.

Hobbies...hobbies...hobbies...

Well, I write short stories, sketch, karaoke, netflix and, reading off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more than that...I help my GF in the kitchen so I guess I can add baking.

Anime is animated, Manga is still (usually books, but I assume webcomics in the style are counted as well.).

EDIT: Basically the difference between Cartoons and Comics.

Drawings (More "Random little cartoons" than art) and music. Also, reading and D&D, but those are less frequent[footnote]I blame the horrible organizing skills of others for making my D&D less frequent.[/footnote].

Oh, and Necromancy, of course.

Okay first to answer your question, my hobbies include martial arts and reading.
What I really want to draw attention to is the use of 'you' as opposed to 'your', I see this used quite a lot in the place of 'your' and to me it sounds completely wrong, can anybody explain why this form of the 2nd person possessive is used as I do not understand it at all. Is the OP unable to use correct grammar? Please note I do see this used a lot and am looking for an explanation, I am not just flaming/trolling. Thanks/ :)
Well for one i do not believe in grammar , as long as you're able to get YOUR point across who cares? For second i actually did press the 'r' button its just , well , you know , sticky keyboard.

Typical nerd stuff:
reading, drawing, wandering around museums and historical sites with my g/f and collecting animation/Lego stuff (mostly animation cels and Star Wars Legos).

I also love going to sporting events and concerts.

And I like long walks on the beach...

I don't really do much,I guess, I read quite a bit, and write my own stuff, mountain hiking when I can. I'd like to learn a craft-type thing I suppose.... just a matter of getting myself together enough to actually do it.

And a brief rage; people mentioning in this thread how they need a life or are boring people. Bullshit. There's no divinely ordained list of acceptable things to do with your time that demands a sufficiently diverse range of activities or a set criteria for social contact. /rant off :)

My friends and I are trying to get into D&D, but it cost a lot more money to get started than one would think :(

Other than that, we fight with those nerf melee weapons which is really fun and requires some athleticism. Btw, no it's not LARPing, no magic allowed :D

Oh hey, that makes sense. I guess what never let me catch onto that is that some anime which is based on manga is sometimes still refered to as manga. You know, in the same way heroes from comic book movies are still refered to as comic book heroes.
