When you take the amount of weapons that we have and factor in human nature, it becomes tough not to believe that anything other than annihilation by our own hand is inevitable. Either some religious nut detonates a bomb in the wrong spot, or sore losers of a war who are in possession of a nuclear warhead, or a corporate war somewhere in the distance, I truly believe that we will end us.

maybe it would be a warhammer 40k future to, cause its the year 40,000 that a really long time, but not with all that "warp/chaos" stuff

I think when we begin expermenting with mass teleportation we will rip a hole in fabric of space time and the 'Radiation' given off by it will allow the human race to use magical powers, but the animals also get mutated by this. Welcome to DnD modern with magic!

Two reasons...

1: Utopia is boring

3: And i want aliens to look cool, not like humans with herpes on their face.

2: I really don't want to be a red shirt.
Start trek universe a utopia? you obviously dont watch it my friend.

Aliens can look coll all they want but they stop being cool immediately after you wet yourself and they melt your face with a plasma gun

One red shirt survived in the original series no one noticed though because they cut the scene were they saved his life he appeared in several episodes after but no one really cared.

EDIT: also that's 3 reasons not 2 and 3 and 2 are in the wrong order.
I'm talking about just the human society being utopian. Complete bullwarky.
I didn't know a red shirt survived... thats news to me.
But it's not a utopia in several episodes there are terrorist attacks and lets not forget that hole rebellion thing you remember the maquis? it was far from utopia people where jsut nicer about how they beat you is all.
Well i stand corrected, then i guess i just don't want to wear those goofy clothes.
yeah you have a fair point there they did look stupid.

Firstly there is no us. The earth will soon be demolished to make room for an interspace highway, so unless we get off soon the future won't matter too much.
