Starcraft, no matter how many new RTS games that come out I keep going back to the one that seems to do everything right. For that matter no other game has kept my attention for so long.

I played way to much World of Warcraft when i started high school, i ended up with about 20% presence in school, causing my grades to hit bottom and me dropping out, but since then i've stopped playing WoW, and i've reapplied and gotten back into high school, done 1 year so far, 2 more to go though, but now im not that dumb and i know that real life goes over Any virtual life

I can't believe I'm about to admit this, but when Roller Coaster Tycoon first came out....I don't know how many hours of sleep I lost.

Definitely Pokemon. I used to take it to school and play it non-stop, then would go to a friends house and play it until around 10, and the process would repeat itself over and over again. Also, I was really into Nightfire for the N64, and I never even touched the single player.

I get very deeply into Oblivion. Like, days-at-a-time immersed. I'm not sure what it is, but I hate my roommate for introducing me to it the week before midterms last semester.
I heartily agree ^^

GoW, online. I dropped out of uni because of the 12 hour sessions. I was really good at it though.

Runescape..it was like online crack v_v
I agree. For about 2 years I was on runescape practically non-stop, in a kind of World of Warcraft addiction state (i.e skipping school to play, neglecting my RL friends, not studying etc.).
I'm not quite sure what I saw in it, the graphics were appalling but it was just so damn addictive I lost so many hours of sleep playig it XD
I'm out of that now, though I sometimes log in to talk to people.

Morrowind.. ( I too hate cliff racers -_-), Oblivion ( thank God they removed the cliff racers ). these are games which would take up months of my life...

Also I have an obsession for pokémon-games... that doesn't make me weird, right?

When I was in the second grade, the original Pokemon consumed my life. I spent months upon months beating the first game (and quite possibly actually "catching 'em all," though my memory's a bit fuzzy), I was insane enough to wake up at 7:00 AM (or was it 8?) every Saturday morning just to watch the cartoon, a solid 4 or 5 hours earlier than I would ever wake up on a weekend now, and I bought every little bit of Pokemon-related merchandise I could get my grubby little mitts on.

But I'm not sure if that counts, since the entire Pokemon franchise, not entirely unlike crack, was essentially designed to be highly addictive. Regardless, my most recent gaming addiction would probably have to be Chrono Trigger. I've been playing the game for quite a few hours at a time for about a week or two now (currently stuck for the first time...wonderful) and I've been thinking constantly about it. I can't remember the last time I played a single game this rabidly.

Currently I'm addicted to "I Wanna Be The Guy", a stupidly hard but incredibly fun freeware platformer for PC. While I've only played for a recorded 8 and a half hours (time and the deathcount is taken by the last save created (and there are many times when the game has crashed or I've quit without saving a lot of deaths for no progress)) its safe to say I'm hooked... I'm not sure if I should be scared of that or not. :\

I generally killed all my spare time growing up with games, wouldn't ever say I was addicted until Final Fantasy VII though. After that, Baldur's Gate, this one caused a bit of a row with the g/f, but we got past that (2nd computer, 2nd copy of BG), but wow has probably been the biggest timesink.
When I didn't have much else to do - I could easily spend 14 hours on a saturday and sunday playing. Now I have a family, so that doesn't happen any more.
