All those people look pretty calm about what happened. Makes me think that there really wasn't a huge threat to anyone's life.
That's actually how people usually react to those situations. Life isn't a Hollywood movie. People don't always scream in horror when something bad happens. Shock tends to paralyze people and make them seem calm. It's kind of eerie, actually.

I have a question: How hard can it fucking be to grab my carry-on as I leave the plane?

If you're letting that stop you, you clearly don't know how to internet. Learn to internet better, man.

OT: I don't know what the deal is. You want to know stupid? Two guys ran into a four-alarm fire to save their PlayStation. That's stupid.

This? It looks bad. How bad was the fire? Was there any cause to abandon on-hand items? I don't know.

Passengers? Had you said employees i would agree it's outrageous, because they have training and should know better. Passengers are regular people. Don't expect regular people to follow any kind of code of conduct.
It's not about the code of conduct IMO. It's just basic survival instinct. You don't stay in a burning plane to gather your stuff. You exit the plane and you wait for the fire department to extinguish the fire and then you go in and gather your shit if you really care about it so much.
In theory yes. In practice not so much. It's also why we need to constantly remind people to stay calm and not panic. Because panicking is usually the first reaction by people who have no training , followed by " I GOTTA GRAB MY SHIT AND GET OUTTA HERE".

I don't know how bad the fire was so it's hard to say. If there was a huge freakout on board then it would make sense to get out as fast as possible, but if the passengers are out getting of calmly and in an orderly manner, then you'd probably have the time to pick up some of your luggage anyway.

They look like they're in the middle of the desert.
I always got some food and water with me when I'm on a plane so I would definitely take my bag with me.

Also, the plane was already on the ground and I think people realize that things don't explode in real life like they do in the movies (at least most of them do).

Did you just chastise me for not finding out what exactly happened...and then proceed to ask questions about what happened?

I (facetiously) chastised you for letting not knowing what happened stop you from sounding off on it. I then went on to say that I didn't know so I couldn't say.

In a sense, I did do exactly what I chastised you for. But then, that was kinda the joke.

Ah, my apologies then (not that I was "offended" or whatever, just thought it was a weird but it being a joke makes a lot more sense).

The engine was on fire. It's not going to spread to the cabin. The passengers are fine taking an extra few seconds to grab their shit.
