More and more of the later Boss Batles in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. They have so much health it is ridicules. Maybe with Co-Ops it would be easier but by youself, and god help you if you are trying to capture said weapon AND kill as few people as possible.

Trying to avoid a bomb dropping helicopter while simultaneously trying to knock out well-armed soldiers with hand to hand combat 4 at a time and sending them away in balloons. My only problem is i run out of balloons.
Pfff. Bomb dropping helicopter. At least you get a massive warning. Try a missle lauching instikill tank.
Too bad the massive warning almost always comes when i am surrounded by 3 soldiers pissed off by the fact that I'm about to throw one of their friends into the ground headfirst. I can't take down the four of them fast enough, and i just get bombed. (because real men use fists, not tranquilizers)
The secret is using your fists . . . inside the warehouse. The roof can't break and your safe from all of his powerfull attacks. Then CQC the hell out of the guards. Also bring a tranq. for the commander. I find it is usually worth it.

The reason I find The Tank and the Missile Choppers harder is they can hit you inside. The missile tank in particular annoying because it shoots over your cover.

Yeah i tried that. The chopper just bombed off the walls. It was either go outside and take out the guards, or stay inside and hope the guards are stupid enough to run inside and try to attack me at close range instead of just shooting me.

Yeah, Xaldin was a pain...
But hey, while we are talking about Kingdom Hearts 2, try Sephiroth for a spin. I lasted about 3 seconds. I eventually managed to beat him, but, thank God he is optional.
Seconded.

Persona 4: Mitsuo's shadow and Namatame's shadow. There's a reason both of them were so difficult but oh my shit did it take forever to beat them. Izanami is another extremely close tie with those two.

Either of the optional weapons in FF7 (Ruby, Emerald)...Once you figured out the secret to beginning the battle and not instantly losing, that was when the true impossibility of them began to sink in...But hey, if you grind alot and hit max level, they become somewhat less impossible...

I missed these two through on my first post here but I feel that Nevan from DMC3 and that black blob thing from DMC1 also deserve nomination. Plus Chaos (optional boss) in FFIX

Ultimecia/Griever/Ultimecia + Griever from FFVIII, definately. And Diablos (unless you fight him a few thousand years after getting the Lamp)
Jecht on FFX (or maybe I just suck at that game. >.> I HAVE EVERY SINGLE AEON, AND ALL ON OVERDRIVE, MAAN!)

A quick recollection, I think the hardest bosses that I have not beaten, makes quite a big list (but only because I actively seek out things that challenge me):
-Xemnas and the Knight boss in KH2 FM+ on the hardest difficulty. Even at level 99 with the best gear, I have yet to beat them.
-Final boss in Mario RPG: Partners in Time. Have to be damn near perfect when dodging attacks. Could probably do it with higher levels.
-The big black blob of DMC on hard. Damn, he's insane.
-DMC3 on hard, the Agni and Rudra fight.
-Anything in the sephiric gate in Valkyrie Profile 2

For comparison, I beat all bosses on KH1 Final Mix on Proud, Bayonetta on hard, the two other super mario RPGs and God of War 1+2 on the hardest difficulties, amongst others.

Too bad games seem to have gotten steadily easier, replacing difficulty with tediousness.

Don't get me started on Xaldin. This was a pure torturous session. I was getting so aggravated, I just practically lost it and went nuts. Like a bad game on Christmas back in the day. Yeah, it sucked, but it was all you got and you're gonna finish it!

Many of the bosses on Disgeae games are made to kill you.

One boss in IDsgeae 2 is about level 200 or something and right at the start, its made to kill you so the story continues, if you kill it in another cycle you get an alternate ending.

I found Elizabeth Greene quite hard on Prototype, Especially with all the hunters around, can be a right pain.

Also, Kazdan Paratus in The Force Unleashed (hardest difficulty). I spent days at that spot, and that never happens to me in games nowadays. I wanted to break that disc in half.
Gaghhhh, worse than him was Shak Ti and that stupid spirit bomb thing she does

I lucked out with her, she got glitched on the spores at one point and lost a good third of her health. If you stand behind the cluster of spores, she will randomly walk into them and hurt herself sooner or later. I didn't spend too much time at her, to be honest.

Resident Evil 5: Ndesu on veteran mode (PC version)

I just can't do it. And I want to unlock professional mode so badly
Wait till you have to fight that fucker on professional mode...god I hate him so bad

Mine would have to be either Deadpool in Wolverine on hard mode, you do hardly any damage with attacks and he has regenerating health, added to the fact that he fucking teleports around like fucking crazy, I ended up spamming him with the lunge attack which is the only thing that did a decent amount of damage, orrrrr Darth Vader (second time) on Hard mode in Force Unleased, stupid unblockable moves, I can get him right down to minimal health and he fucks me over with a stupidly powerful combo, I still havent beaten him yet

I don't normally throw my hands up, toss my controller behind me and walk away in defeat with end game boss battles.. But Killzone 2 Radec on Elite was/is the most annoying thing I've ever experienced in gaming. Fucking Helghast just KEEP COMING! Rico stands there and gets shot the entire time so he's useless. commandos coming in from the left and right, handfulls of standard soldieres shooting from below and god damn mother fu king rocketlaunchers from accros the room.

Somebody once told me "dude, Killzone 2, you can pretty much beat the entire game on Hard with just the knife." I call serious bullshit.

Btw, No.. I haven't gone back to try in over 2 months.

the final battle of Lost Odyssey i vaguely remember being very hard.

also Braska's final Aeon from FFX was hard the first time, because my people were complete shit, and no one has their ultimate weapons.

That beast in FFXII. Yazamat or something along those lines.
It has like 60 health bars and takes seven hours to beat him.
