You don't get that reputation without unnecessary precautionsTrilbi said:My school built a bomb-proof wall in Denmark. One of the safest countries in the world.
We had that once. Someone at chemistry leaked something highly toxic (not sure what it was, but it was dangerous). They evacuated the entire school out onto the field across the street. We had to stay there. We and a lot of other people just climbed over the back fence and left.Redlin5 said:Overreaction in our school? Well, no not really. I suppose the only overreaction was because of a genuine threat; a natural gas leak during construction. The younger grades were panicked, ecstatic, basically jumping around everywhere during the evacuation.
Sure, it ended school for the day but I didn't get to go home for another 3 hours despite living very close to the school. I had to be "supervised" in the local town auditorium until the all clear was sounded. The whole thing was just a giant annoyance.
