Overcharged - Chapter Three, Dark Hearts [FROZEN UNTIL REQUESTED]

"Threewords. How did you get created by such a stupid woman?" Catherine sighed. "Right then. Any plans on getting rid of 2W before he blows the entire city to kingdom come? Because I'm pretty sure he's gonna go out with a blast that'll level the entire city if he hits."

Wolf had cold shivers going up his spine, when he heard Dr. Carter speak. Nuclear strike? This surely wasn't authorized by The Company. He clicked his radio.

"Command center, come in. Dr. Carter has gone nuts, she's going to blow up the city and we still have soldiers here!"

Silence.

"Command center, come in! We have a dire situation here, I don't-"

A cold, metallic sound echoed from the crackling radio.

"Request denied. Command center deemed unworthy. Command center is no more."

2W.

"What the fuck? 2W, what the hell is going on?"

"I will soon detonate in the city. You know too much. You will be terminated."

Wolf crushed the radio with his hand and looked at Fox. She was looking scared and Wolf had never seen her scared. He signaled at her. She looked back and nodded. They ascended down the building and approached the superhumans.

"We come with no intentions of harm!"

Oh yes, chapter three starts after this conflict is resolved... that is, 2W crashes and detonates or not.

Be ready for a rather big change.

ThreeWords considered then situation. For a full twenty seconds he thought, analysing thousands of possibilities. Few would work. even fewer would be usable in the time left to them. By the end, the best course he had found still had a mere 8.7325% chance of success. He decided not to let the others know that.

"Catherine! What are the extents of your powers? Are you limited by size or technology? Could you create something that does not already exist?"

 

[revolverwolf]

"Create something that doesn't exist?" She pondered for a moment. "As long as I have a decent enough description of it, it should work. As for size, I'm unsure. I've only gone for hand-held guns until now, but I might be able to go for something bigger with a bit of work. What do you have in mind Threewords?"

Ray climbed down the building and joined the others.

"Just shoot him down! Give it all you got!"

He picked up his guitar and lashed out at the flying robot with 'Micro Cuts', causing thousands of tiny rents and scratches to open in 2W armour

"Anything?" Anything could be... A rocket launcher? Nah. Needs to be bigger. Missile launcher. Na. It could be anything. It needed to short circuit him, and damage him beyond repair. Lightning. And something really sharp, like shurikens. Something that shoots shurikens and lightning! "I've got just the thing..." She smirked. She began setting up the weapon, on a small piece of flat roof. "Just be ready to get us out of here if this doesn't work..."

If this doesn't stop him, nothing will! Also, sorry for the blatant Yatzee fanboyism. It's just, who could pass up this opportunity?

EDIT: The weapon was set, and 2W was getting closer to the building every second. Catherine's finger was steady on the trigger, and her eye was fixated on her target. The trigger went back with a steady *ka-click* and the first projectile went forth. It looked like it clipped 2W's shoulder, but she couldn't be sure. A second shuriken was fed into the mechanization, and her finger went to the trigger again. Holding her breath during the firing sequence had a slight effect on her aim, causing the shuriken to lodge itself in his chest cavity.

The shuriken has gone into 2W's chest. One more will open it, revealing all the technology to be fried by the lightning. =P

Nuclear destruction timer? Err, pretty soon, if not stopped.

2W's engines coughed and it fell down as it's chest piece was torn off. This didn't stop the timer from ticking though. A sick, metallic cackle emitted from it's mouth as it plunged towards the ground. Suddenly, one of it's arms blew off.

...

Wolf re-adjusted the aim. He had liked 2W... but this wasn't 2W anymore. This was Dr. Carter's monster. He aimed for the other arm, but missed - Fox kept shooting at it with two revolvers and screaming obscenities at it.

Ray whipped out his guitar and started playing Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation, and with each not a bullet flew at 2W slowly breaking him apart.

 

[ThreeWords]

ThreeWords saw 2W fall, but with horror, he realised the threat was not over.

"The bomb's still ticking!" he yelled

He ran through the gunfire to 2W's side and found an input slot. Plugging himself in, he found 2W's mind a wreck, torn apart by the conflicting Laws. He wasted no time is smashing a way through the system, deleting all the programs he could find, hoping to stall the detonation.

Some twenty seconds later, the nuclear core stopped ticking, and failed to explode

"Aww yeah nice one 3W" Ray yelled up at 3W while waving his hands franticly in the air.

mister terrible placed his hand over the defeated robots corpse he looked it over back and forth.
"hmmm thing`s severely damaged I might just be able to scrap the metal" mister terrible said with a sick smile on his face.
"what you got in mind" Bart said with a curious look on his face.
"well something like this" mister terrible then ripped the nuclear shielding from 2W`s chest and placed his hand over his nuclear core he channeled all the nuclear energy into his body trying to take it all in as soon as there was nothing left a small explosion erupted from 2W`s chest sending mister terrible flying into the hotel on the other side of the street knocking him out.

Errrrm, terribleyetfun, Dr. Carter teleported away some time ago. She's not here.

Wolf felt a small stab of regret as he heard the cheering. 2W was a fellow soldier, even at that state... but it had to be done. He walked to the superhumans.

"Looks like our whole operation was destroyed by that robot... Commander Johnsson and the remaining's of our staff."

He sighed as Fox walked besides him.

"Any plans?", she asked, clicking the safety of her Desert Eagle on and off.

I thought Dr Carter had teleported away...

ThreeWords gave Mr Terrible a polite little half bow, with only a slight hint of mockery.

"Mr Tin-can McMetalpants at your service, sir"

mister terrible was on the ground on a pile of rubble he felt like he was drained he coughed out a green mist and slowly got up he saw 3W giving him a half bow.
"oh real funny your not gonna think it`s so funny when I do this" mister terrible's hand shot out but instead of lightning a spread of fire shot out hitting 3W in the chest but having little to no effect.
"okay that was weird let`s try that again" mister terrible shout out his hand for a second time but instead of fire or lightning a blast of ice came out this time he aimed away from 3W.
"I thought you could only do lightning" Harold said with a confused look on his face.
" I thought so too wait give me one more try lightning take three" mister terrible focused hard and shot out his hand but instead of anything else he fired before a wave of earth rippled along the ground disjointing and cracking it sending a signpost deeper into the ground.
"okay this is getting annoying" mister terrible was pissed now he focused as hard as he could and shot his hand out at the wall finally lightning came out destroying the wall.
"finally wonder what the hell those other things were though" mister terrible said as he looked at his hand confused.

Catherine jumped from the roof onto a small upturned vehicle nearby then hopped from the vehicle to solid earth. She walked over to Fox. "Well. I guess we go after Doctor Carter. She's been too involved and she needs to be stopped before she causes anything like this again."

 

[PandarenBa]

"Yes... our contract has been suspicious from the start, I warned the commander of this...", she gazed down on the ground. Wolf patted her on the back. "It's probably the best to work together now."

"I think I know where she is located - there's an research laboratory camp set up outside the city, so that would probably be the place for her to reside. It's littered with guardian's and defense-systems however. I doubt you would get to her even with your superpowers. My suggestion is to gather any troops still alive in this god-forbidden city and assemble a strike force. And there's still some other superhumans roaming around.", Fox explained. She stopped for awhile.

"Of course, I don't know how many of them are still on the mission to capture you... but it's worth a try."

 

[terribleyetfun]

"well gathering super humans should be easy I`m sort of a symbol for them if I don`t say so myself" mister terrible said his ego inflating.

"but seriously we can get some of them together if we`re allowed access to the broadcasts personally I vote for the gun woman whatever her name is to do the broadcasts she just has the face for T.V and if that fails me and my friends here" he pointed to Harold and Bart "should be able to find some people willing to help" mister terrible said waiting for wolf to respond.
