Overcharged - Chapter Three, Dark Hearts [FROZEN UNTIL REQUESTED]

David stood up again, his wounds closing. His spine cracked, re-adjusting back to it's place.

"All that you do only delays the inevitable."

He threw the axe at Terrible, which narrowly missed his head. David teleported to Terrible and launched a punch at his face.

the punch connected and mister terrible was sent flying he skidded across the ground before grinding to a halt along the harsh asphalt. "inevitable what?,what exactly are you talking about" mister terrible asked confused he then clapped his hand together and blasted a shock wave of lightning at David.

David flexed, dodging the bolt of lightning. He started walking towards Terrible, brandishing a bony sword in his hand.

"The wheel started spinning as mortals were given powers. Soon it will stop spinning and the will of the Gods will be fullfilled."

David threw the sword at Terrible.

"oh so this is`nt sciences doing this is the will of something more divine" mister terrible said before matrix dodging under the sword. "I kinda assumed science did`nt play a hand in me being able to do...THIS" mister terrible roared as he put his hands out to his sides and fired two separate bolts of lightning they shot out on each of his sides before curving back and heading directly towards David`s sides.

Threewords was obviously deep in thought, having not replied to her. She made the next move then, moving in front of the robot and shaking her hand in front of his face. "Would you happen to be able to find the base, or are we stuck looking for it?"

To work out the truth, one must compute the probability of every possible result, then the most likely must be correct. This method works fine, until one adds a random factor.

In this case it is humanity. Contrary to their own belief, humans do in fact work to logical and definable rules, but those rules are so varied and complex that the computations become almost endless, a near infinite program to deduce...

ThreeWords canceled the prediction program and responded to the question

"We should search for nearby energy use. Since everyone's been evacuated, the only person using any kind of power will be Carter, and her robots all radiate a unique energy signature."

"You are irrelevant. So is Carter, who thinks she's in control." David rose both of his hand as the lightning bolt impacted. He stopped them, both of them still crackling in his hands. He threw them towards Terrible.

Wolf and Fox both snickered at the two discussing.

"Sir, if you think the army boys and girls are just slacking and letting you robots and supers do all the work, boy, you are wrong." Fox shouted at them. Wolf brought a map and showed it to the two.

"We pinpointed Carter already here, right at the mountain's base. We are already setting our troops around the perimeter, scouting the area for booby traps."

 

[ThreeWords]

ThreeWords smiled broadly "Excellent. Do we have any information on the defences?"

 

[PandarenBa]

"A lot of stuff. Heavy automatic turrets, guardian's... guess it really is a one-woman army. No other living person spotted in the camp and my men had to be really stealthy to even get near."

 

[ThreeWords]

"Could you deal with the defences if you were to make an attack? Or should we use a super strike force to do some damage from the inside before you approach?"

mister terrible stuck his hand into the air absorbing both of the lighting bursts he felt insulted that his own power would be used against him and a rage started to stew inside him. "okay you are really starting to piss me off and you would like me when I`m pissed off" mister terrible threatened charging lightning through his body a wave of blue lightning washing down his body.

"your about to find out how much it hurts to have all your organs fried like burger patties" mister terrible said his voice deep and booming echoing throughout the rubble he started to focus all of the electricity in his body to his hands a blinding white light building at his finger tips the energy building was staggering easily being enough to short out all the electrical devices with a thirty mile radius it slowly changed into a glowing white orb small wisps of electricity shooting from it, then with one quick thrust he shot the electricity from his hands it rocketed towards David the front of the blast changing into the shape of a dragon head the lightning dragon let out a roar and charged directly at David lightning still shooting from mister terrible's hands as the dragon raced ever closer towards David before reaching him and coiling around him sending lightning into David`s ribs.

"yes feel the pain let flow into your body for you see there is no escape form the everlasting torment that is my rage for I WILL END YOU" mister terrible roared finally stopping the lightning let it all shoot into David when the end of the lightning trail reached the dragon it exploded sending millions of volts of electricity into David and creating a giant explosion of lightning energy that could be seen and heard for miles, the shockwave from the explosion sent bits of rubble flying in all directions a piece of metal shrapnel flying into mister terrible's head but quickly shot out due to mister terrible's electric polarity mister terrible saw nothing in the resulting storm of dust and thus thought David was gone.

"that is why you don`t use my lightning against me" mister terrible said turning to walk away...

Catherine interrupted the talk. "Wait. How is all of this powered? We might be able to use an EMP to take down any robots and turrets, or simply take out a main power source. If Threewords and I can borrow underground and tunnel into the base to take out the power, your guys won't have to worry about turrets or any robotic disruption." She awaited the joint responses, quite unsure whether the plan was perfectly sound herself.

 

[PandarenBa]

"We could bombard the area with our artillery... but we only have three cannons and limited ammunition. Rallying a straight assault would be suicide with these forces."

Wolf glanced at Catherine.

"Negative, ma'am. The base is powered by 1W, which means nuclear powerment via satellite connection. The boy is so well protected that even a missile strike would only manage to scrape his metal skin."

David reformed from a heap of burned flesh. He walked out of the storm, staring at Terrible. A bone spear emerged from his finger and he pointed it at Terrible. It launched at a high speed.

mister terrible picked up a whistling noise in his ear he turned around and saw a bone spear heading right for him he stuck his hand out and was able to just barely deflect it with a shot of lightning before it would have struck right through his hand, mister terrible simply stared at David in shock when he he saw him. "how does this thing not die I`ve hit him with everything I have well guess i`l just have to hit him some more" mister terrible thought turning to face David he fired two streams of lightning from his hands both of them picking up David and tossing him into a pile of rubble mister terrible then placed his hands on the ground sending a wave of lightning towards the pile sending a current through each piece of metal in the pile all of them stabbing and electrocuting David as he lay inside the pile.

"In that case, we need to deactivate 1W" ThreeWords mused, "Which is easier said than done. In physical terms, he is far superior to me, and we would be hard pressed to defeat him, even together. But he is still a robot, and has one major weakness. If we can infect his system with a virus, or an infinite program, it will either shut him down or weaken him sufficiently to make combat a viable option. And since he must remain connected to the satellite to power the base, we even have a direct route to his mainframe"

 

[PandarenBa]

"Then again, the boy is always accompanied with Carter and you know what sort of tech-wizard she is."

...

The pile of metal exploded and a fleshy tentacle smashed down on Terrible.

 

[revolverwolf]

"If you can do something with 1W while Carter is preoccupied, would that work? Perhaps if we attack them, and Threewords tries to interrupt the satellite somehow?"

 

[ThreeWords]

ThreeWords nodded. "Yes, that would work. Most likely, Carter and 1W will fight side by side, but if 1W is incapacitated while in combat, won't be able to stop and repair him. I don't doubt you can handle the Doctor, but are you sure you can take on her and 1W while I'm busy?"

 

[revolverwolf]

She stopped for a moment, thinking before looking back to the robot. "...I'm sure. If I incapacitate Carter then 1W should be programmed to help her. I'll be able to stall every way possible."

 

[PandarenBa]

"Don't forget we can support you guys with our troops." Wolf said, crossing his arm.

"Fox can give you cover at any time. She might not be as good with the sniper rifle as I am, but she's nothing to sneeze at."
