Overcharged - Chapter Three, Dark Hearts [FROZEN UNTIL REQUESTED]

mister terrible just barely managed to avoid the tentacle that came crashing down sending dust and dirt flying everywhere. "okay so the fucker has tentacles...and subsequently the ability to be completely unkillable but damn if I`m gonna prove that wrong" mister terrible muttered to himself as he stabbed his hand into the tentacle piercing it`s skin using that as leverage to climb to the top of the tentacle as soon as he reached the top of the tentacle mister terrible started to run towards David he got ever closer to David and when he got close enough he lept at David and kicked him in the face with a lightning charged kick whilst he was still in mid-air but before he hit the ground mister terrible spun around in mid-air and kicked David in the gut mister terrible then landed right next to David and began to lay into him with a variety of punches. "WHY...DON`T...YOU...DIE" mister terrible yelled in between lightning punches.

"Very good... And how quickly can we get to the base?" Catherine shifted from one foot to the other uneasily.

"Just shy of an hour if we start preparations now, ma'am," stated Wolf. "We'll begin as soon as possible."

"Please do. We should end this now."

"My life is relevant to Carter. She has... fascinating skills in biotechnics. My body might not be able to complete the word of the Gods, yet my mind is able to able to speak it's words. She is, like you, trying to prevent the re-origination process."

David smiled at Terrible with his mangled face and wrapped the tentacle around him, throwing him towards a building.

Wolf saluted and ran towards the command tent. Fox turned to Catherine.

"How much can you do and how much do you need help when we assault the base?"

mister terrible sailed through the air crashing into the middle of a three story building sending it toppling down on top of him,all was quiet for about ten seconds before mister terrible fired a bolt of lightning through the rubble slowly getting back to his feet. "two things one, what the hell is the re-origination process and two,how am I trying to prevent it" mister terrible asked a mixture of rage and slight confusion on his face.

Sure! We don't really have any sheets around here though, so just pick a name and get in. I suggest reading the whole thing to get a grip of things happening.

David stopped and stood still. The lightning bolts impacted, exploding and severing David in half. His body quickly reattached itself, but David stood still. He watched at Terrible with his blank eyes.

"Re-origination Process, The Will of the Gods, is an event triggered when the council decides to re-evalaute the process of the current world. The event will start from giving Godly Power to mortal beings as a test of current situation. If the world is deemed un-pure, the humans imbued with the power shall work as the Force of the Gods, remaking the world as a pure base for a new generation to rise."

Fox smiled at Catherine.

"I'll be your backup there."

She walked to a nearby crate and picked up a shotgun, two pistols and a few grenades.

"You don't need anything from here, do you?"

"hmmmm I don`t exactly care about that I mean as long as I live to get to see another day I think I`l get over it at some point" mister terrible chuckled "hey I`ve been working on this new technique tell me what you think" mister terrible then clapped his hands and his entire body turned to lightning and shot into the sky then out of nowhere he plummeted down at David with the force of a lightning bolt, his foot getting impeded in David`s skull. "man I did`nt know how much that would take outta me" mister terrible was breathing heavily he quickly regained his composure as he started sending thousands of volts into daivd's skull and brain. "let`s see you survive some shock to the brain" mister terrible laughed madly as he continued sending electricity into David`s head.

Catherine tilted her head to one side. "No. But it couldn't hurt to check." She paced over to the box and reached in, hoping to pull out any piece of protective clothing. In the end she had drawn a fairly snug jacket, not dissimilar to the one Fox was wearing.

ThreeWords completed his tactical computations and straightened up.

"So as I gather, a strike force will engage 1W and Carter, and I will try to deactivate 1W, at which point the bases defences will be deactivated, and the full force can attack. However, as this is by far the best tactic, 1W will expect it, and so will move to the best position to defend against a small strike force. I will move i on the best location to intercept him, but he knows I will..." he lapsed into silence

A moments pause, then he announced, "It can be no other way, I know where I will fight him. You must fight Carter and stop her from rendezvousing with 1W before I can dispose of him" he glanced at the others, and saw them ready, "Well then? shall we leave?"

"As soon as these guys are ready, yes. But we've got an hour or so to burn now."

I suggest that we carry on once Threewords gets back. And get terribleyetfun back as well of course. We can jump straight into the assault against Carter's lab. You'd have to think of some way to end the fight between Terry and David so that we can continue though.

Time to continue methinks. I'll even start us off after a timeskip.

The tank was horribly cramped, 3 other soldiers were in there with Catherine and Fox, not to mention a whole host of weaponry that Catherine suspected wouldn't even scratch 1W. "So how did we even get here?" Whatever Catherine's inner thoughts had been before, they had been cut off by Fox's question. "I mean... The city was fine not even a week ago. And then all this shit happens in one day?" She couldn't even think of an answer: everything had been moving at lightspeed since David had reappeared. And how Terrible will have fought him she'd never be able to know.

"I don't know," she replied, "All I've been doing is trying to find out what the hell's going on and how to stop it. And Carter's obviously got some sort of part in all this. If I do nothing else during this, I'll at least find out where these powers came from." Fox nodded, before looking out of the top and dropping back in.

"Not long to go. We've got a few minutes 'til we have to get out. Then we walk the rest of the way." At these words, the soldiers began grabbing their rifles and grenades from the tank's interior. "All we've got to do is stall. Remember that. The more we can avoid open combat, the better."
