If I were you I'd have said something along the lines of "how about you kids shut the fuck up and go back to school. Unless your cool with growing up to be a failure and dieing in some ditch after sucking a guy for cocaine."

Kids like that just piss me off. And I should probably stop now before I go on a rant.

In short: Props to you OP for showing restraint. I sure as hell wouldn't have.

I don't get that at all.

Barring physical violence, I couldn't have won, they were too up themselves. They would have ignored my arguments and replied with as many swear words and as little intelligent speech as they could muster.

Beating the hell out of them might make them more grateful to be alive though...

Lining up for a movie (can't remember which) but it was around the time when the second twilight movie was out. Must of looked really odd to see a 6 foot bloke stand in line with a bunch of 14 year old girls. Oh and their conversations was something you'd read in a chat room for the dyslectic.
That reminds me when Up! and New Moon or whatever the second movie was came to my theater at the same time.

Whenever someone asked me or my friends who they thought was better, we'd reply "what are you talking about? We're here to see Up!. Guaranteed to be better than Twilight in every way imaginable."

They'd reply "No way!" or something like that.

To which we'd reply "Your right, Twilight does the stupid whiny teenager thing better than Up!. Although I'm not sure if thats a good thing. While your watching teenagers cry and moan about being super-powered creatures of myth and legends, we'll be going on an adventure with a cast of colorful, unique, and fun characters who instead of moping around, are actually doing stuff and having fun."

Harsh? Maybe. But when your surrounded by Twilight fans you'll see how short your patience for conversation about the movies really is.

Indeed. Well, it may not feel like much, but be glad that in 10 years time, you'll be living a good life while they're lives are probably what I described above.

What's not to get? The guy thought that, because he was black, he couldn't be racist, because he thought that racism is only bad things based on black people.

Wonderful idiocy...

Nothing inherent wrong with them talking about those things... however, the way in which they talked about said issues and their overall attitudes seem more the issue than them smoking, smoking grass or talking about sex.

Smoking stuff and bonking is pretty normal for teens, this group just sounds annoying, though.

I once heard a guy talking about how he and some of his mates taped a guy to a chair and hosed him whilst a load of females were looking.
He sat there talking about this in a Rainbow Six Vegas lobby, for 15 minutes.
That fucking ****... also, he taped someone up and hosed them.
That was bad, too.

Very nicely composed sir. There is nothing wrong with your reaction. People within that age range commonly (with exceptions, of course) do not truely grasp the gravity of such things (sex, skipping school, drugs, etc..) and do get a bit obnoxious in their tone or volume of said conversations. Your reaction seems to be fairly standard.

Ignorance in general gets to me like a seven foot sledgehammer.

I don't have any specific examples (luckily), but along the lines of stereotypes, narrow mindedness, racism, complete lack of rational and common sense usually makes me go "Waaaagh!".

Seriously, school is good for you. Why won't some people get that?

Someone was bitching on the ski hill on the chair lift behind me about how ski racers where pansies and fake injuries not like snowboarders who wipe out hardcore and they keep going on and on. They weren't even good snowboarders they got maybe 3 feet of air off each jump and then would freak out about how awesome it was. I ski raced for 3 years so i was taking offense. I waited till they got halfway down the run and snowed them good(spraying snow at their exposed ass cracks and necks which freezes/soaks them) Ah that made me feel much better.

I don't hate all snowboarders just the ones that get in my way, sit in the middle of the hill, ***** at me for skiing and act like morons.

when i hear people talking politics as if they know what they're talking about, but get mad when you ask them to explain but they cant. i see this a lot with democrats around here. they generalize and make assumptions about things, and then get angry when you prove them wrong.

an example: much of my mother's family is made up of democrats. they are to the point where i honestly believe they vote democrat simply because they're democrats, not because they know anything about what is going on. i was at a funeral, and one of them attempted to bring up politics! someone (who was a republican, a rarity in that family) brought up how his city put spikes on heating ducts to keep homeless people from sleeping on them, and the democrat says, "i bet it was under the bush administration!". the republican family member said, "nope, clinton". that really brought him down a notch. i was standing nearby, wondering how the bush administartion would have a say in spiked heating vents, and i had to keep from laughing,

Loud people on buses, especially when they are saying stuff you are describing (Yes I have heard people talk about that stuff) and people who play their MP3s really loud (The no radio rule does not mean play your music as loud as you can so everyone can hear it. Headphones are to keep it to YOURSELF) always piss me off.

It also angers me when I hear people use gay as an insult.

Black youths on the subway.
LOUD conversations using only the words FUCK, ***** and N***A.
Not all black youths obviously, but enough that it makes you wonder WHAT THE FUCK is going on.
How do they not get their asses handed to them daily?
Everyone nervously looks at their feet til its their stop.
I complained once and got CALLED a N***A!
Im white, what sense does that make.
They use it like another person would use commas.
Its sad, and really really rage building.

Every day on the way home from school I see this old, fat junkie yelling at her son for the most pointless bollocks. The kid always looks frightened and it makes me rage.

Not many are coming to mind. One that sticks out, is two 13-15 year olds at the mall, talking about how Avatar was "The best movie ever made!" and how it "Had such a great story!"....

No.... just no.....

And that, my dear escapists, is why I avoid the mall like a leper with the flu.

I'm from California, first of all.

"Smoking weed isn't a crime that the cops could get you for. Like, you could smoke it in front of a cop (and not have a medical waiver) and they can't touch you because it's a federal law."

I got angered because
1. Killing someone is a federal offense, ditto with owning automatic firearms and the like. If a state cop sees you doing it, they can't just stand by and let you kill a person.
2. If people can do that, then the cops are REALLY corrupt in California (so the people advocating weed in front of cops shouldn't then call out Arizona police for corruption and so-called violation of civil rights[their words, not mine]).
3. Dude, the person saying this is like 15! They don't know politics or government!
4. DUDE. SHE'S ON THE DRAMA BOARD AT MY SCHOOL (THAT I AM ALSO ON). THIS CAN'T MAKE DRAMA LOOK GOOD.

Girls on my soccer team who always complain about how the girls on the other teams are bitches, and how they want them to stop running their mouths off. They always say, "Oh I want to punch her in the face." They act as if they are the victims, when they are the ones looking for a fight.

And then they get all riled up about it, and act all tough, and as if they couldn't care less that they were probably the ones who initiated the hostility in the first place.

They just drive me up the wall.

I think a well timed "So do it" is in order.
