I don't have many local friends, having moved 700 miles from home not long ago and generally being very picky about that kind of thing, so I don't have many people to team up with. I'm entirely at the mercy of matchmaking. I'm sure the same could be said for many of you.

So I've been playing as Gengi whenever team balance allows. Some Mercy when I see that Bastion needs help defending a point.

I play on PS4.

I only just got the game a week ago so I'm only like level 10 but improving I think.

I'm a casual player but I'd love to play with a group and get better. I'm working on getting a headset for chat soon too.

(On a serious note, Bastion is the best for me simply because I'm kind of bad at the whole aiming while moving thing but have a really good sense of positioning and timing.)

OT:

PC player, though I'm probably gonna get it on PS4 too eventually. I've not been playing very much, so I'm only level 43.

I enjoy playing Support, so I'm most often playing as Mercy. But I'm looking to get better with non-support heroes too. I'm a pretty good Pharah and Soldier: 76. I don't generally like playing tanks, but I can be a pretty solid Reinhardt too.

Gosh, compared to the average levels in this thread, I feel like a right loser for being level 125. Still, I'm happy to serve as a shining example that level =/= skill. I may be the highest level out of everyone I play with, but I'm only average at best.

Anyway, my favourites by class are;
Offense; Soldier: 76
Defense; Mei
Tank; D.Va
Support; Zenyatta

D.Va, Lucio and Mei are my most played characters. Though I love Zenyatta I generally pick Lucio over him because even after the Widowmaker nerf, Zenyatta doesn't seem that good. It's a lot easier to be useful as Lucio, anyway.
I almost exclusively play tank and support, mostly because it's what I enjoy but also because they're usually the roles that need filling. That's why I decided to put time into Soldier: 76 and make him my go-to offense guy, because if I do have to pick a damaging hero, Mr. Versatile will generally be an okay choice regardless of what everyone else has picked.

Oh, and I play on PC.

I don't have one main character that I play, I usually try and fill in any gaps in the team composition. I do have a few favorites in each category

Attack: Tracer or Pharah (and Genji every now and then)
Defense: Junkrat or Torbjorn
Tank: Reinhardt or D.Va
Support: Lucio or Mercy (with the occasional Symmetra)

As for my main, well, let's just say that true happiness sounds like "Ogon po gotovnosti", especially when closely proceeded by the words "Maximum charge".

PS4. Lvl 40 ish. Mei, mainly. Because she is one of the best for controlling areas regardless of teamwork, which in my experience is very hit and miss. Except on that well level, where I use Roadhog for maximum trolling.

The amount of times you get a 4 or 5 man Zarya ult and your team just backs off...

I suck at offensive characters, but that being said:
Offense: Reaper/Tracer.
Defense: Junkrat all the way! He's my favourite character. Though I lolplay on Hanzo or Torbjorn with decent result sometimes.
Tank: Roadhog. Though I'm starting to like Zarya a little.
Support: Lucio. I always get more cheerful when playing him. Plus his music when using abilities is awesome for a music junky like me.

Genji, Mei, Widowmaker, Roadhog, Zenyatta. On PC and I'm around level 40ish.

I enjoy racking up solo kills and don't really enjoy supporting a team unless I'm with friends who happen to be good players, because teamwork never works well with randoms.

But Zenyatta is pretty teamwork heavy with her shields... >.> Also for as far as teamwork can go without voice chat, I still get good teamwork about 1 out of 10 times. So it IS possible.

Level 31 on PC.

I tend to be all about playing the objective so my character selection tends to reflect that.

Attack - Soldier 76.

He just feels like the most "team oriented" of the attack characters. While the others are more about ambushing and harassment Soldier 76 is all about leading from the front. Great for taking out Bastions and Turrets, able to heal Reinhardt as you push forward, and his heal stacks with the heal you get from the payload. I also like having the sprint available since it gets you back into the fight faster. Sure he's fairly basic, but that also means that he's consistently good at a lot of tasks.

Defense - Torbjorn

A properly placed and defended turret can really mess up an attacking team, and a properly timed ultimate will keep you and your turret alive and temporarily turn you into a tank. It's also a lot harder to deal with a team where everyone has 75 extra armor, and Torbjorn's alternate fire in close range is no joke.

Tank - Reinhardt

No other tank can make a push forward quite like Reinhardt can. Whether you're on offense or defense his shield is always useful and he's the best tank at TANKING damage.

Support - Lucio

Heals your whole team all at once, and at the same time capable of putting out decent damage and chucking people off cliffs. With his self-heal he's able to stay alive for a pretty long time and contest objectives despite the fact that he's pretty squishy. Especially great for king of the hill maps where your team is mostly clustered together, and awesome for getting your team back into the fight with speed boost if you suffer a big team wipe.

Try to adapt to what the team needs, but usually end up as Mercy or D.Va (really like both characters) though will also step out as Pharah, Mei or Symmetra. (unlocked the Cute sprays for all of them, though D.Va's drove me nuts)
