In a gaming example for some reason the neck-stomp kill that the main character in the Godfather game would do as a finishing move really messed me up. Certainly not the most graphic thing in a game, but the sound effect made it scary and disturbing.

dance music and industrial places (especially with orange lighting) at night both give me an overwhelming sense of sadness. listening to dance music while sitting on a hill looking at a lit up orange industrial area at night makes me feel empty and alone.
I like it, it's deep.
^ to anyone thinking of making sexual jokes, don't.

Ok, this goes to media in general really...

Ever had an overwhelming experience when playing a game or viewing a movie, listening to music, seeing an image? Of course you have!! So what are some of yours.

here's some of mine:
- Overwhelming experience of disgust when first playing Soldier of Fortune. I was really young. That's NOT a game for really young people.
- Overwhelming emotions (a bit of everything) when finishing most epic RPGs. Especially FFX.
- Gaz's Death. Nearly cried there.
- Aphex Twin songs give me a weird feeling of surrealism. Zoning out on his tunes while doing my work, or just sitting on the train. It's a very ...weird feeling. Hard to describe.
- Overwhelming feeling of emptiness after watching Avatar. I felt less human after that. I don't know why exactly. But it had a weird effect on me.

I can go on forever. 4chan constantly overwhelms me with laughter, disgust, knowledge, etc. I was also amazed by a humans ability to survive after hearing about a girl that survived under rubble after the Haiti earthquake for 15 days. Can you imagine being pinned under tons of concrete with no food or water... for 15 days!

Anyway... you're next!
SOF is indeed not for youngs cubs... Imho i'd listen to GOA trance for psychodelic feelings...

for music i advise you listen to Electric Universe, Transwave, Solar Plexus, Cybernaut etc..

Wow...
So many things that are overwhelming, much more often deeply emotional, making me wanna cry, than angry feelings.
A good video game, Half Life had an impact on me, though probably more because of the nostalgic feeling I got when I played it, Half Life 2, also. And Portal had a very deep impact on me, also... Just the environment, and the feeling you're completely alone.
A good movie, though I haven't seen Hunger, I intend on doing so.

The music from The Holiday had a deep impact on me ( Hans Zimmer is so talented ) and V For Vendetta had a really deep impact on me, too.

Discovering extremely beautiful music, like I discovered Imogen Heap ( best music to put on when falling asleep ) and, like just the other day I was on youtube, looking for beatboxing artists, and found a video of some kid beatboxing in front of hundreds of people on Australian Idol or something, then in the related videos I saw a song he made, called "These Kids" ( The kid's name is Joel Turner ) and maaan, that song was mindblowing for me.

The guitar part in the song Waking The Demon by Bullet For My Valentine also has a really deep impact on me, and has done so since late 2008.

There also was a song I listened to on repeat when I was about 10 years old, while reading a horrible story about some 3 year old kid in England that 2 12 years old kids stole, abused and finally put on train tracks, where a train came and killed the kid...
The most horrible story I ever read, especially since it was true.
And then like 2 years later I heard the song I listened to while reading the story, and was overwhelmed with memories from that story... Unbelievable what sounds and scent can do to your memory.

My most recent high emotion event from a game was probably from Demon's Souls a few months ago. In NG+ (it's your 2nd playthrough, about 40% harder) I went to kill Old King Doran and it was brutally difficult... took me so long and so many tries but when I beat him, I jumped up screamed "AW YEAAA!!!" and just felt so good for a while. He's beatable in a cheap way (poison and death clouds) but I don't see the point of that.

AC2, DA:O, Darksiders... these games didn't really give me much emotion. I felt good about upgrading my place in AC:2, DA:O... ugh, and Darksiders I really liked but even on the hardest difficulty it was only moderately rewarding to finish, tho I suppose a few bosses were pretty epic and felt good to beat (like Tiamat)
