Technically, I've had more severe pain than this, but I've been dealing with back problems that extend into my leg for over two years now. That constant, nagging pain is definitely not the most severe pain I've had, but it probably is the worst.

Cracked and broken ribs at the same time! Christ, that was horrible. It hurt to breathe until I got my painkillers for the day.
Also, getting hit in the nuts by an an american football. *shivers*

There are only two occasions which spring to mind.

The most recent was getting my thigh tattoo. After the two hour mark, I was tired and it was absolute agony. I've never felt anything like it in my life. (So glad I persevered, though! Pain is only temporary.)

The other occasion was when I started taking the Pill for the first time in about 2007/8. I spent the first day in absolute agony, I had to lay completely still in bed because the pain was so bad. I can't really describe what it was like, but the only thing I remember thinking was, "Is this what childbirth feels like?")

Otherwise, I've been quite fortunate. That, or I have a high tolerance for pain.

You might want to get an X-ray or an MRI to make sure. I say that because my dad also had kidney stones, but instead of passing them one at a time like I did he had to do a surgery because he had this cluster of 40 or so in both his gall bladder and kidneys.

I think when I was in Tenerifa, when I was 12 years old or something, was among the worst I've felt. Had some ice cream at a restaurant and later on got really fucking sick by which I assume was food poisoning. Spent several days of the vacation doing nothing but lying in bed throwing up.

The exact feeling is like someone scraping out the inside of your uterus with a spoon or a fork. The pill soon fixed that though.
The thought of that makes me cringe and I don't even have a uterus. Go figure.
For me, it's like everything inside is burning and whatever's in there is trying to get out to escape the fire. By digging. Yay.

My worst pain? Probably appendicitis (I forget the pain, I was 11), but I also have stomach issues - can't digest dairy and possibly minor IBS. Black-outs from stomach pain have happened before. Except that's normal to me now. I ate a bit too much for dinner last night (Can't say no to wings) so I paid for it quite quickly.

I was a freshmen in highschool when this happened. I had developed a rather painful boil on my chest. This is already painful by itself, but it gets worse.

This part gets a little gross. See I needed to drain the puss out of said boil so I managed make a little hole on top of the boil to do so. When I went to the doctors and told her I did that, she told me that was good but the hole I made was too small and she was going to make it bigger. So she gets out this pair of surgical scissors and I assumed she was gonna use them to cut into the boil to make the hole bigger and was already cringing at that.

I was wrong. What she did was much worse. She stuck the scissors into the hole in the boil while they were closed and opened them then, basically stretching the hole opened. Now I pride myself on remaining calm at a doctor's office, no matter what pain they put me through, but I damn near feel off the table when she did that. What was worse was she had to do it twice.

I've never had a serious illness so I don't think I can complain too much about pain.

I used to get extreme period cramps, as in, I couldn't get out of bed for a day or two. The exact feeling is like someone scraping out the inside of your uterus with a spoon or a fork.
Gosh, I'm sure glad I've never felt like someone was scraping my uterus!

I mean...

Sounds aggravating.

OT: Uh... well, I got stabbed in the hip once. Although what with the mad adrenaline rush the pain was delayed on that one.

Also, due to a botched filling... basically this:

and it was like that for two weeks because the fucking NHS dental practice was backed up and couldn't give me an appointment fast enough. When sleep would come every night, the pain would wake me up in the morning, in a state of sleep paralysis before I could go downstairs and neck pain killers that barely did a thing.

Then I took a dihydrocodeine tablet from a prescription belonging to my mother (back issues). That was awesome.

All in all, it was the worst pain I've ever felt.

I've had my face torn off by an animal, and then sewn back on by a plastic surgeon. On the opposite side of the same face (mine) I've had my cheek and orbital bone shattered, and replaced with a titanium alloy.

I've also broken all 3 bones in my left arm by getting a stone wedged between the 3 of them, and then listening to them snap like little 11 year old twigs.

I've had a broken femur, tibia, several broken ribs, and a punctured lung from an auto accident.

I've had internal bleeding that no doctor could figure out where it was coming from (different circumstances than that auto accident).

I've had 4 impacted wisdom teeth, all needing removal by an emergency DDS, without any numbing agents because if they didn't do it, I wouldn't be here to tell you all about these little niggles.

I have no cartilage left in my left knee, and my spine was broken when I was 17. They told me I'd never walk again. They also said that if I did walk, I wouldn't be able to by the time I was 30. Showed them eh?

Right now however, is the worst I could possibly feel after all that. Rheumatoid arthritis has me pretty well house bound most of the days I live. The funny thing about all these little health related hiccups, I'm only 43 (yea, I know... old man) and I have so much to look forward to. Cancer runs in my family, as do heart issues, so if one of those doesn't kill me, the other might... or it might be the bus that's eventually going to run through my living room.

Tie between when I got my wisdom tooth cut out, or when my kidneys act up and I literally cannot move my back.
Nailed it on both accounts. I decided to get my Wisdom teeth removed under (barely any) local anesthetic instead of just getting knocked out. Bad move- if another doctor or nurse ever uses the line "it's just pressure, not pain" with me again I'm going to pressure their face with a tire iron. The week of aftermath sucked pretty bad too.

Aside from that, the worst I can think of was having a kidney infection, and feeling I had a knife sticking out of my back for a few days.

Uhm not entirely sure to be honest.
I'll just throw out one of em.

When I was 10-ish I fell 5 feet, legs splayed onto a solid steel bar.
As a male I must say the pain was quite intense.
I couldn't move for a week and even with plenty of ice and pain killers I felt like dying. I think I cried for 3 straight days. My left nut got the worst of it and to this day it is slightly smaller than my right one.

I had appendicitis a few years ago, worst pain I've ever felt.

It's like someone was twisting my guts around their fist.

The night before I went into the hospital was the longest night of my life.
Same here, the doctor told me it was the largest appendix he'd ever seen that hadn't burst. Plus sitting in the hallway of a hospital for 8+ hours isn't fun. I'm just glad I don't ever have to deal with that again.

I had appendicitis when I was younger, and that was pretty much terrible. I also had pneumonia once and had an allergic reaction to the meds I was given. It caused me to have these coughing fits that I couldn't stop. I didn't even really have time to breathe and almost passed out each time. I'd cough until I threw up and then coughed some more. The strain was so bad I burst several blood vessels in my eyes. The only upside was that I looked like a Sith Lord when the ordeal was over. Not much of an upside, but I'm a silver linings kind of guy I suppose.

Everytime my stomach goes in pain (which is rare), I worry that I have appendicitis.

Chipping a tooth.
Braces for the first week.
My thumb once got so swollen that actually changed the shape of my nail.
I once at 12 sushi rolls in succession and had a case of headache and vomiting an hour later, from now on I am very selective about my sushi.

Ever have kidney stones? I've met women who view the pain those fuckers give as more painful than childbirth. I've had seven of those things. Completely debilitating pain, and it's difficult to do anything, even walk, during that time. I've gone through dozens of painkillers and their effects have been reduced to the point to which I can and have awoken from lethal doses of the stuff.

So I guess the lesson here is to eat right and don't drink too much soda, kids!
Yeah, kidney stone is the most pain I have been in too. I've only had 2 where the first one was the worst. On my second one I didn't bother with the painkillers and just endured the pain and made sure to drink a lot of fluids.

After my second one I did however learn that the reason I am getting them is most likely because I don't drink enough. I would go almost a day with just 6 cups of espresso (coffee is one of the suspected causes for kidney stone) most days. Since then I have learned to drink at least one bottle of water during the day.

The second worst would have to be when I managed to get a weird back spasm while walking home not too long ago. It felt like I was being stabbed in my lung and it made it almost impossible to breathe. It got worse and worse with each step. When I finally got home I decided to lay down on my bed and I was physically unable to move for about 16 hours and after that I was still in serious pain.

I also get frequent chest pains for some reason, but those are just barely crippling compared to the two above.

Appendicitis was probably the worst pain related one I've had. But whilst we are on this sorta topic, my worst, in regards to the experience itself, was when I had a pilonidal sinus which is essentially a cyst forming around the top of your buttcrack. Whilst the pain wasn't too bad, the nurse and doctor who happened to be treating me happened to be both female, and quite attractive and...let's just say it was a good thing I was lying face down whilst they did their stuff back there *awkward*

Most painful thing I can *remember* would be an exposed nerve on the very back tooth that I didn't know exist. It felt like some one jamming a needle into my gums with a hammer, about every 30 seconds. Smash, Smash, Smash.. It looked like i was insane when I was in middle school.

But there probably have been more painful times, I just don't remember them. I'd imagine getting my finger crushed in a door, then the drive to the hospital was pretty damn painful. But I don't remember all of it, I remember up to the finger being crushed(but not it being crushed) and then blank. Then I remember being in a hospital with a heart rate monitor.(though that could be when had Pneumonia) Completely missing memory, AND I was awake apparently.
