I once had a holey tooth that I neglected until the top half of it basically broke off. I had to have it pulled out, of course, but the fun part only came afterward. Apparently, the hole the tooth left behind created a connection between my mouth and my sinus, because every time I get a cold, some vile liquid kept oozing out of the hole, and sometimes I could suck some air through it. But the worst part was when a cyst has grown out of the hole. I went back to the dentist, who said it was a bone shard that was broken off during the pulling, and proceeded to open up the sack, at which point a deciliter of pus poured into my mouth. I kept going back there while they tried to figure out how the hell could that happen.
The strange thing is, my tooth never actually ached during the whole ordeal.
