I hope that she is acting pro se and there isn't actually a lawyer involved - if there IS a lawyer then he or she needs a bitchslap for exploiting the mentally ill. Sometimes it IS cheaper to make a small payment to make a lawsuit go away than to actually fight it (thanks lawyers..) so maybe a lawyer acting on contingency thinks that even getting 4-5 grand out of a 10 grand "shut the fuck up" payment is worth the trouble of filing what is clearly a ridiculous suit.

Other things spring to mind:
