Yes it does matter. It bothers me immensely when people claim to know things that they obviously don't, or are misinformed.elvor0 said:Really man, really? Does it matter that much to you? It's a slimline version of a console, Sxbox360 S sounds silly anyway, 360 slim rolls off the tongue much better.Eldritch Warlord said:I'm getting rather tired of hearing from Pachter. Aren't there any other worthless "analysts" that we can laugh at.
It's S. Xbox 360 S. Just because Sony makes new versions of their consoles and calls them "Slim" doesn't mean Microsoft does too.Chesterfield Snapdragon McFisticuffs said:Xbox 360 Slim
That just doesn't speak very highly of the rest of the 360 library.Hiphophippo said:To you, perhaps. It's seen way more playtime than any other 360 game I have.migo said:Banjo Kazooie is overrated. I was very enthusiastic about getting it, but when I actually did I was disappointed. I'll finish it through at some point, and then trade it in for new games, but it's hardly a system seller or really something noteworthy to be packaged in with the system.Hiphophippo said:Goddamn people. You don't NEED the new fancy 360. The arcade unit is 150 and it comes with Viva pinata (meh) and Banjo Kazooie (I swear it's one of the best games on the entire system.). Drop in a cheapie HD and you're set.
Can't you scratch that itch by reading the back of every food box in the cupboard? You'd actually glean more useful information doing that than you would reading this idiotic news post.Centrophy said:People need to relax and take a breather. It's been a slow news week even with Comic-Con. So Mike either posts this, ninja's something from someone else on the site, or doesn't post at all. I'm all for getting something to read personally.
Alternatively it speaks very highly of Hiphophippo's creative spirit.migo said:That just doesn't speak very highly of the rest of the 360 library.Hiphophippo said:To you, perhaps. You're making the assumption that everyone will want to upgrade to wireless & a 250GB hard drive. Personally, I could care less about wi-fi, and even just 20Gb is enough for me. I would bet most people who want a dirt cheap console just want to be able to play their games & have plenty of room for their saves. They don't need all the bells & whistles, and they certainly don't want to pay for them.Birx said:I'm surprised no one has brought this up, but to 'upgrade' a current Xbox 360 Elite to an 'S' from a stock configuration is at least $100 (200 if one doesn't have a 250GB HDD). Let me point out the biggest thing that he had not mentioned. The Xbox 360 'S' has built in WiFi. That's right, owners do not have to shell out $100 for wireless when it is built into the Xbox 360 S. So please...At least put in all the facts before jumping into 'the Xbox 360 S is too much' stuff.
Compared to Blu Ray, Free online play and having some exclusives it is. The PS3 is running rampant over the 360 in terms of value for money right now.squid5580 said:So I can get 120 gb PS3 for 299. Or I can get a 250 gb 360 for 299. But the 360 needs a price drop? Really? I guess that extra 120 gbs is valued in the negatives.
Um... no. He said that Activision is mostly likely to go with a "Premium Online" package or Micropayments to carry-out Kotick's vision of a subscription-based CoD, and that doing so would likely work-out well for them. He never said that they have to do the subscription service, he just said that they will do it, but a subscription likely won't be required.Theron Julius said:Indeed. Isn't this the same prick who said that Activision has to get a subscription service for CoD? He's an idiot.Woodsey said:What will Pachter's next wonderous prediction be? Perhaps that many people are angry at Kinect's pricing and that they too are waiting for a price drop? Oh how insightful he is!
Honestly, this man's crap isn't worth the virtual paper the it's written on. He either tells us the obvious or is completely and utterly wrong.
I don't know if he said that, but I know he said he predicted despite Kotick saying he wanted it to be subscription based months before. He fulfilled his requirements of being wrong and obvious all in one there.Theron Julius said:Indeed. Isn't this the same prick who said that Activision has to get a subscription service for CoD? Either that or Highly of Banjo Kazooie. Sorry you didn't get into like I did. The vehicle customization is very nearly all I need in life.migo said:That just doesn't speak very highly of the rest of the 360 library.Hiphophippo said:To you, perhaps. It is STILL a SLIMMED down xbox 360, and that is what it is, Microsoft could call it the babadee boopie extrodenaire and it would still be a Slimmed down 360, It's not like he's calling the sky green and stating it as fact, he's just calling something the most logical name you would call it, that is still correct in terms of description and function. He's not claiming to know something he obviously doesn't know about, because he is still technically correct. Heck I don't know anyone that's ever used the expression S XBOX360 S.Eldritch Warlord said:Yes it does matter.
