Personally, I think Palin did much better than expected, but expectations were so low it was hard for her not to. Biden landed a few good hits in the debate, but like they said on the post debate report, no one made a real knock out. Also, both closing remarks were, I feel, completely lackluster.

Ultimately, this debate wasn't going to affect much. You don't elect a president because of his/her vice. Vices are ... interesting but on a basic level we all recognize that they are only usefull if the president dies or you need to pretend to care about some country but don't feel like sending the actual executive. So, was I impressed by the debate. Not really. It's basically a non-issue. A morale booster between actual policy conflict. In that regard it did well enough.

Palin was reassuring if somewhat out or her leauge on foreign policy. She did well enough to reassure her base though which was her real goal in this debate. "Don't come off as ditzy." She didn't. She seemed informed enough to be a governor. Mission accomplished.

Biden was calmer than usuall. He came off as informed. Overall it was an impressive, if rather less enthralling, job. But, all he had to really do in this debate was not fail royally as Obama was ahead (and I predict will stay ahead) in the polls at the start of the debate. Mission accomplished.

It was a good debate. I don't imagine it will affect the race much but it accomplished it's goals in a satisfactory manner. What more can you ask for?

It's not my country either, but unlike you, I realise that the decision that America makes will affect every other country in the world.

Not the worst opening post I've ever seen, but certainly not the best. Next time why not aim for a little more than two lines and some change.

It was about a tie for me. Neither of them really stood out and really won. Palin did better than a lot of people probably thought she would and came off pretty good outside of when they talked about Iraq, so you can't say she really lost.

The whole thing was extremely boring though. I was studying for PSATs for fun during it.

Ah, liberal love.
Liberal Love It's called not being insane. Every normal person doesn't like Palin. She's evil! She's backwards! And she cannot be president! Period. She just should not have that chance.
before Bush was elected, everyone called those who didn't like Bush liberals, and other dirty names, saying they were insane and that our pessimism on his presidency was unwarranted. And then, look what happened?

Wow, it's like reading a post through a broken mirror! Any chance we could get this cleaned up a bit?

You should care. The choice of VP is a tactical one that can sway undecided voters.

I did. What happens, is when I decide I Don't want to respond to a certain person, I hit the back button- but it saves everything for some reason. So when I then choose the post I want to respond to, It looks normal, then I post, and voila- It does what was there, until I edited it.

I'm always like that during debates though. They discuss the most important issue at the time right away, and after that I start daydreaming.

I can beat that. I'm in 12th and I take the actual SAT on saturday.

Un-fun times. Extremely un-fun. I was studying during the debate too. Less out of boredom and more out of Raw Fear!
