Also I didn't find the first one scary in the slightest, all these new horrors that attempt to be psychological and what not are shit only work on thick people since my sister seemed to be quite spooked by it along with that "4th kind" or whatever it was about the aliens. Although if you get get some bimbo to go to the cinema with you to watch them, you've scored.

I love simon pegg I'm a bit disapointed in his last movie do you know if he'll star in any other movies?

Well I'll give it this, it certainly looks atmospheric and interesting but I still don't know if Paranormal activity was the kind of movie that really NEEDED a sequel. Part of the success I thought came from how 'new' it felt to have a video camera making sure you see every strange goings on in that house and if we see a sequel of it then that means that it'll be doing the same sort of stuff again and as a result won't feel as fresh as before.
Plus with the spooky phantom standing there in the final shot it seems like they are dropping the original angle of the demon thing being invisible.

Still I might give it a look but here's hoping it doesn't end up as the next 'Saw'. I still reckon Paranormal Activity felt more like a one hit wonder than something that could be a full on franchise.
My thoughts exactly.

I going to keep my eye on this but I have a feeling that it's not going to have the same impact the first one had on me.

The first one was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever seen.

I won't be seeing this one.

Sequels to horror movies usually suck, and sequels to ones like this...

Let's just say there was a sequel to Blair Witch Project. Didn't go over so well.

Since the first paranormal activity had 1 bit that made me jump, and knowing that the second movie will follow all horror movie sequel rules, it will have no scary bits, more gore and more boobs. And maybe if were 'lucky' we might get to see Freddy Krueger rapping.

Speaking of Simon Pegg, is he doing/has he done some sort of movie about an end of the world?
I remember watching something about this.

Sounds like it, it's the last of the Blood & Ice Cream trilogy! (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz)

You're right, curiousborg. My bad. I guess I did mean the writing.
Well, then the -writing- of the characters wasn't very convincing and believable.
Also, thank you Jackalb. That must be what I saw a teaser for ages ago.

Well... I never saw the first one and this new trailer looks like the same except in more places. I like the trailer for [REC]2 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0-gVB-U5is] better.

To those who are interested and liked the first one, on the official website, watch the trailer. There is a flicker of gold that looks like a scratch on the film, if you can get it to pause, its an image of the baby "Hunter" and behind it is a dancing demon like figure, it gave me the creeps. And at the end, the demon is saying "Hunter", first backward, then forward. Much like the first, when (you have to turn it up loud) but you hear the demon say "Katie", I believe its on the night she gets pulled out of the bed. Did anyone notice, on the first one, that at the end, when see stands at Micah's side of the bed, her shadow when she turns to walk out of the room, projects itself on the door as the demons shadow does, indicating the demon is always already in the toom and coming from Micha's side of the bed? My theory is that the demon grew stronger as she submitted to Micah, as if it grew stronger against her as she grew weaker against Micah. As if the demon knew if Micah could walk all over her, it could, too. Yea, I'm kind of a fanatic. My friend Derrick and I can't wait for this to come out. I'm not easily scared of movies, but this one freaked me out. I think people hear so many good things about a movie or that its scary, and they spend the time not watching it and trying to enjoy it, but trying to prove its positive ratings wrong. I'm so sick of gore movies, and movies where the lead character turns out to be crazy, I love when there is a haunting, simply because there is one. But, we all are entitled to our own opinions. I was pumped that there was a sequal. And, REALLY, who cares if there are more of the same scares as the first? I am perfectly fine with that. As a matter of fact, I'd be fine with the demon doing the same sort of stuff, with some differences of course, but the same feel as the first. Anyway, I can't wait, I think it won't dissapoint, for those who are excited.

I just dont buy into these films that pretend they are real... the only one I almost believed was the 4th Kind because I stupidly thought they had to put in an obvious disclaimer at some point telling you that it isnt real, but they just kept on saying "this is real, this is real, this is real." until you start to think "Wait, actually... is this real?!" then they showed that picture of that place in Alaska (which I googled) and it turns out it didnt look anything like the actual place.
