she should have chose the dress that roberts had worn after she got picked off the street. She'd probably get better judge reception from it.

Wow. That is just terrific. Is this the way society is going? Are we seriously exposing kids to this crap at such a young age? Why we have so many irresponsible/stupid parents in society is something I fail to understand.

i think who ever said that this stuff is basically legal child porn summed it up pretty well.

dressing a toddler up with fake boobs and bum in a revealing dress jut seems so wrong.

Really just really, clothing for young children (mainly girls) are ridiculous and that show is just really creepy as well.

I think the bigger crime isn't that the mother dressed her daughter up as the prositute from Pretty Woman, but that her mother dressed her up as a character played by Julia Roberts. If that doesn't screw up a kid I don't know what will.

But yeah, as everyone has said these pageants serve no real purpose, well no real useful purpose to the kids anyways, as they usually don't always understand why they're doing what they're doing, which makes it all the more troublesome when the don't win and the mother takes it out on them. It's pretty much one of those pageants for middle-aged women who aren't attractive or skilled enough to show anything off, so they just parade their child around as a fill-in, which I find to be bull shit. Your child is exactely that, your CHILD, not a young blank surogate for yourself, but someone who will later grow into a real adult, so why should they grow to be you?

Just to play devils advocate... If that is so, than whats it matter that they're dressed like that, as far as she's concerned, she's dressed as a princess.

I think any type of toddler pageant is really stupid. How about letting the little ones be themselves and play instead of dressing them up like whores? I mean literally, that's messed up that she was dressed up like a prostitute...

Seriously i think these kinda shows(seriously i think there are dozens of those shows. and alot are advertised aggresivly)are a plague on society.

Meh, gonna happen to the kid sooner or later with THOSE kinds of parents. Might as well get the STD checkups in early...

Allow me to rephrase; She doesn't know the consequences of her actions. Besides, even if she thought she was a princess, isn't that a little dishonest of the mother? Wouldn't that seem a little morally questional to dress your three-year-old up like a prostitute so she will win you a medal (we all know who really wanted her to win in the first pllace) and tell her that she is a princess in order to get her to wear the costume?

I declared this show months ago to be the most monstrous show on television. This just reaffirms my statement. We humans create some horrid things don't we.

I do not see the big problem here guys, that kid is just having fun playing around in her costume. What i do have a problem with tho is the ones who see this as sexualized considering you guys are sexualizing a three year old girl. That little girl do probably not know wtf sex/sexualized/erotic/arousal is but i can guarantee she know what fun is and i bet she is just having fun and feeling like a princess with all the people watching her and liking the attention she gets.

This is pretty much the same thing America got a frenzie over when there was some 7-year old girls dancing in the World of dance competition in California some years ago. The kids are just having fun dressing up and playing around. It is you grown ups who are sexualizing them when all they want is having fun.

If a 7 year old girl was dressing up in a strippers costume i wouldnt find that to be sexualized unless she started giving me a lapdance and started talking dirty to me. xD

The kids are just having fun so let them.
