my mum doesn't really have any nicknames for me.

My gran calls me Flossy. I think this is stemming from the fact that when I was younger, my gran used to joke that my hair was so curly and frizzy that it resembled a big bit of candyfloss. Despite the fact that it no longer does, Flossy has stuck.

& my papa calls me Big Yin because I'm taller than all of my family apart from my estranged dad.

This thread seems strange to me, do parents really have nicknames for their kids? Well, maybe they do, I wouldn't know since my family was pretty screwed up, they hated me and they hated each other. My birth was an accident and that was never hidden from me. Right after I was born my mother took to the streets and just wandered around for a couple of days talking to herself like a crazy person, because she did not want another kid (my sister was already 8 years old by then). So yeah, it never was a really talkative home and I learned how to make myself invisible very early. They did seem surprised when I wrote a 220 page children's mystery novel when I was 10 years old though, I think that's the first time they thought "Oh, this guy exists!", but they did try to smother that in the following years because they believed that writers usually grow up to be bums. Fortunately they didn't succeed and I kept writing small stories, but now feel that the time has come for something bigger that can stand on its own. Planning it is taking me out of my studies though and they are taking to long to complete, so now I am usually referred to as "lazy bastard" (does that count?). Aaaaaaand that's enough of that crap.

You know, like Boo Radley? It makes sense because my name is Atticus.
... Why do I get the feeling that barely anyone here has read To Kill A Mockingbird?
Atticus? You lucky bastard. That's an excellent name.

OT: Worm, bear, cat, John [??]..

Chicken when I was young, mouldy when I got older.

No reason, they just liked calling me it.

my dad used to call me sunbeam - my folks are old hippies, i was lucky i didnt end up with a real name like this.

my gran used to call me sandy or frank because she got confused and used the dogs name or my grandads name respectively - aparently i have similar personalities to both. i would like to point out my gran wasnt senile, she just used to have an issue with words some times - like verbal dyslexia. she had quite a few good word mixups that have made us laugh over the years. decapitated coffee was one of my favourates.

For some reason my dad has always called me SpiderMan (not always, but quite a bit). I have no clue where it came from and I doubt he knows either. Probably started when he was probably dicking around and talking shit one day when I was younger.

Usually they stutter my brother's name first so it sort of comes out in several slurred variations.
I got called "Princess" for a few days. I don't remember why.

My Mum calls me Tiger Woods on occassion (far less now).

I wouldn't really mind it now that he's a total player off of the golf course.
