Would they have sued if it was too cold?

I enjoyed the 'Faces Of Meth' that the page had listed than more the nachos story.

Still pretty funny though.

I, for one, always test shit that my kids are going to eat and therefore am entitled to every litigation known to man.

Is that even possible?..
My god.. Are Americans not taught to take responsibility for their own being?

People really are daft these days. This is one of those times where I'm all for Darwinism, where people like that who sue rather than being careful get hunted down by mega jaguars or something.
...And really, from what they said, shouldn't the unsteady chair be a bigger concern than a cup of fucking nacho cheese?

We are not. We are currently hoping to let the government to take care of everything, while we sue random people.

So they're suing Disney for giving them hot cheese. Who are they going to sue for them failing to make sure the kid was on a stable chair?

But universal healthcare you do not want...

OT: I was sort of hoping this would be about some really sexy nachos starring in a Disney movie, and that the parents considered it obscene.

Please read the article, folks.
The boy sat on a broken chair and flew into the hot cheese. There is actually some liability here, but I am sure (this being america) ther won't be a settlement under six digits.
Which makes it strange.

I'm sorry. I know it has been said before, even so far in this thread, but; By the grace of all that is holy, some people are just so fucking stupid and so incredibly greedy. And the sad part is, most of them seem to be American.

The reason people keep doing this is because, sadly, a percentage of these god-awful lawsuits actually fall through.

Really? Why didn't the parents test the food first to see if it was too hot or too cold? people will sue for almost anything nowadays. I think this smacks of a "get rich quick scheme" myself.

You think that's bad? Wait until the parents actually win. It happens. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebeck_v._McDonald%27s_Restaurants]

That said, there are plenty of stupid people all over the world, including your country. Not just in America. So can we put away the sweeping generalizations please?

I heard people sueing over more stupid things but this is quite high on the list, I am sure they would have somewhere on the booth hot food warming like they do almost everywhere you can get takeaway food of that type like chippies and greys.

The stupidest thing I can think off was the guy who rented a camper van, the van featured cruse control, the guy took it and started driving down the free way, after a short while the guy turned on the cruse control and went out back to use the loo or make a coffee or something thinking cruse control was some sort of automatic driving thing...he crashed and sued the rent company for not telling him what cruse control was.
