So , looking at my title "patapon" you must be thinking, what a game, for the psp?! Yes your slim plastic hunt can play games! Wipe that badboy off and give it one more spin for patapon.

When looking at the game it look like's a cutie rhythm game, well you 1/4 right those tiny little guys in the game are darn cute and the rhythm aspect is fun and refreshing. even if your rhythmically dumb you can still love this game! first when you play this game you find out your the god for the patapon people and the beats make them move, attack, etc.. your their god and you must work them, it seems like work but the game becomes very strategic you equip your soldiers and you can make new people with special ability's like if you add a different meat you get from hunting you can make a yaripon(archer) who can shoot farther. so the game rewards you so much. hunting is probably the most tedious objective in the game, you might have to hunt 12 times for one hunked up solider, also hunting gets harder because after a while you will need to hunt higher monsters and they are hard to kill and they can run. there is one part of the game where you must kill a golden bird and you HAVE to have to get 2 perfect shots.

One of the coolest things in the game are the bosses they range from dragons to big robots who shoot lazors at you. After killing a boss you can kill them again in a higher level for rare and special material to make new people. The classes in the game are quite big, you can mix and match to make the perfect squad, you can have 3 squads in every area, and your flag man yells to your squad and you can equip him with special spells and when you get fever mode(which means you pulled 10 rhythmic commands good in a row) you can active the spell with a small mini game. They range from raining so you can cross a hot desert to wind which make your spear men and archers shoot farther and your enemy archers shoot poorly. There are many mini games at the home camp like trumpeting to a big tree for ore and sticks to hitting a rock babies toe.

Your nemesis the Zigoton are smart armies who control the lands and on missions you have to save your priestess or destroy their archer towers. The enemies drop new items for your soldiers, like fire spears(catch enemies on and and sleeps items which make them sleep)

the story is "The Patapon were a flourishing people until they were defeated by the evil Zigoton tribe. The player takes the role of their god and uses sacred war drums to direct the Patapon tribe to take back their land. As the story progresses, the Patapon also embark on a journey to Earthend to look upon "IT," a sacred object whose appearance and purpose is unknown to the tribe. The enemy of the Patapon tribe is the evil Zigoton Empire, a powerful tribe of circular creatures with red irises (as opposed to the white-irised Patapon) that have oppressed the Patapon since their fall from power. After fighting various battles against the Zigotons, guardian creatures such as dragons, giant worms, golems, and the ultimate evil known as Gorl, the Patapon come to Earthend, the ocean, and see the rising sun, which they assume to be "IT". However, unfulfilled by the anticlimactic end of their journey, they come to the conclusion that "IT" is, in fact, not the sun and to realize their destiny. They must cross the ocean and continue their quest. The final scene shows the Patapon and Zigoton tribes working together to build an ark to cross the ocean."(thanks wikipedia!)

There are six classes who do their own special things, like a spearman who can deal big damage with never getting hit and the archers who are in the back then rain arrows on their enemies. The soldiers can defend your whole army and hit your enemies very hard and they are very tough. the horsemen can knock the enemies back for a good push, and move to the back lines so they rarely get hit. there are brute people who are slow but have big hp and hit BIG!!!! they are very slow and the enemy can run from the blows. The last ones are trumpet players, yes trumpet players called megapons(megaphones get it?) they hit alot and can put enemy to sleep and have big hits and low hits they are quite random but one of the best squads.

Overall this a buy game the game is long and will keep you hooked for days, if your going on a trip or ANYTHING pick this up it is only 20bucks, and even after beating it the replay on this game is crazy you can kill each boss 99times and make the best armies.

The graphics in the game are crisp and have a awesome 2d feel to it, the game is colorful with your beats and the patapons are witty when you mess up and say cute things.

I'll let you know if I agree or not when I get my PSP back from my girlfriend after she stole it to play this game all summer.

:/

PS: I did play the pre-order demo disc about 5 times. Looks fun :)

I like Patapon, the concept is great, and ordering an army using the war drums is a new trick not used yet, as far as I can tell. It fells closer to the "old" armies (the Roman army used rhythmical signatures to order marching, attacking, and so on), and the visuals are simply awesome, simple yet perfectly effective.

I would just advise you to check a bit on your syntax and concentrate on simpler sentences to make it easier for you to proofread and organize, otherwise I think your review is nice.
