But the thing is PC gaming is several steps above console gaming. It's just an absolute fact. There is no advantage to consoles apart from occasional exclusives and initial cost. Console users feel the need to defend their incorrect choice of platform because of ignorant misunderstandings that they have about the PC as a gaming platform. PC gamers have the need to try and educate and show console users the errors in their reasoning. It's a natural occurrence in our society that should not be restricted.

When threads get too ugly I'm happy to just observe. I love discussions best when there's a poster who genuinely cares about the subject, to oppose me with clever arguments. Heated but not too uncivil.

I would love to see the end of these conversations too. There seems to be a handful of people who don't understand that I see PCs at tools and not a gaming platform. I have no interest in PC gaming myself. Never have, never will. They seem especially hurtful when I tell them that I've been using computers since the early 80s without even once considering playing games on them.Doclector said:

No I have felt the need to make a topic about a subject when I know it will only make it worse.
