So I downloaded that unofficial Skyrim patch. Even put the files in the right places in the load file order section, yet it still slows down.

Any help?

Well, the unofficial patch is not really a meant to be a performance booster. Could you be more specific with your issues? Is your game modded at all beyond unofficial patches? Are your PC's specs not that great?

There are several mods that boost performance unmodded or otherwise, so you are going to have to give some more details to really find the issue.

I have a few mods beyond patches. I'll delete a few that bored me and get back to everyone.

IT all depends on what you are running. Skyrim unofficial patch doesnt really help with performance. Some mods you may have installed require SKSE...or you could be running visual mods way beyond the specs of your pc. As far as load order goes and a "bad mod" usually that will just crash or not boot the game. Rarely will it simply crush your performance..again..unless we are talking "visuals."

How does your saving system works like? I'm not entirely sure, but I think that large amounts of individual saves can have -some- effect. It might be worth the time tidying them up a bit. If it doesn't improve performance, you've got a neat und tidy saves list, at least.

Was Skyrim fine from the beginning and got chugging once you began modding it? If it was, it's a good idea to slot them in and out, trying to find the culprit and take it from there. If you don't know, slot out all the mods and see what happens. If it's the vanilla game being uncooperative, try lowering the settings and keep an eye out for dedicated performance mods.

The Unofficial Skyrim Patch is great, but the performance gain isn't the main benefit of that mod.
