1) Do you tend to purchase a particular style or genre over another? Or will any PC game do as long as it's good or at least looks interesting?
yes I tend to reject fps games and usually don't give them a second glance I have a strong preference towards adventure type games both on and off the pc

2) All things considered and with the price being equal, what is more important to you personally when making a PC Game purchasing decision (list in order if you like!): gameplay mechanics, graphics, multiplayer or replay-ability
1 gameplay 2 graphics 4 replay 5 mutiplayer

3) Would you tend to find yourself more likely to support a PC game if the developer was more active with its community, or would you not care? (any further comments or experiences here would be great)
mixed if I really love a game I would support it but a friendly developer cant hurt
*cough* notch*cough*

4) Outside of obvious console ports; do you ever think about the user interface while playing a game? Could you easily name an example of a bad UI and a good UI off the top of your head?
for me UI defenitly can be an issue UI can make or break a game in my mind very quickly sadly I cant drop any names at this time other than console games but it is an issue

I don't buy sport games on PC, anything other genre will work as long as the game is good.

Story and gameplay mechanics are tied at the top, followed by multiplayer. Graphics are pretty low, I'd rather a game have a nice distinctive style to it than shoddy photo-realism. ex.- Team Fortress 2 > Call of Duty graphics wise.

I love when developers are interactive with the community (Valve is great like this), but it's not a deciding factor for me when buying a game.

5) Have you ever purchased an 'indie bundle'? If yes, do you actually play all the games in the bundle or are you just supporting the developers and/or cheaply buying an individual game.
Never bought an indie bundle, I've been tempted to a few times, But I always decided against it.[/quote]

I just want to thank everyone who posted for providing me with so much info! I have plenty to work with now, much more than i expected, so won't be taking any more reponses down (as this thank you post will bump the thread).

For those of you that noted in your replied you would be happy to answer more questions, I may PM you to arrange a more formal interview at some point in the near future.

Thanks again,
Tim.
