However even Crytec are developing Crysis 2 for consoles.
Even though they are making Crysis 2 for consoles. I think it is going to be worse then the Pc version since the graphics are going to be put down so it will actually run on consoles. Thankfully it will be up to the Crysis standerd on PC if not better.
PS3 has more than five times the power on any desktop computer in existance. Not fanboy idiocy, fact.
You really think there have been no technological advances in CPUs and GFX cards since the PS3?

There have been about 3 generations since the PS3 was released.

Edit: Damn you and your trolling.

I keep hearing that the Pc is dying, but saying it doesnt make it true. I'm surpirsed that nobody has posted that picture yet.
I want t make a list so I will
360 exclusives = Gears of War 2, Red Dead Halo 3... cant think of anymore since I dont use the platform
ps3: Heavy Rain, Killzone 2... Run out again
PC: Far many more

I am a PC only gamer so of course I will know of more examples for it, but apart from Red Dead, I cant think of any Console only games that have really made me go "WOW!"

The biggest problem facing PC gaming these days is multiplatform releases, since whenever a game is multiplatform, it's inevitably dumbed-down. At least when a PC game is ported to consoles, the PC version doesn't get screwed over, too. (Compare Morrowind to Oblivion, and compare Supreme Commander 1 to Supreme Commander 2)

The ludicrous amount of games I just bought at the recent Steam sale would like to argue the lack of PC games.

Furthermore, I really wish people would stop calling pc gaming expensive. I 1½ year old computer runs multiplatform games at higher res than most console games can run 1680x1080 and 60 fps with 16xAA where available (sadly it's rare these days when everything is a damn Unreal Engine port). Add to that PhysX and better controls. Grand total price: 850$ a year and a half ago.

Compare that to the 600$ I gave for my PS3 alone 2 years ago. And I'd have to buy a HD tv as well to not run the games in even lamer resolutions. Let's be generous and say I bought the TV my brother got a cheap ass sale: 600$. That's 1200$ to play on a console in mostly 720p and no AA, lower framerates and bad controls.

I hardly think that it's a valid point to say that PC gaming costs a lot.

As long as the current console generation causes stagnation on the multiplatform front I have no need to upgrade my PC for a while. I may do it in a year or so to satisfy my technophile side though.

Also:
STALKER
Total War
ARMA
Dawn of War
StarCraft
Europa Universalis
Tropico
Sim City
Civilization
Team Fortress 2
Sins of a Solar Empire
Galactic Civilizations 2
Crysis

Call me when I can play those on my PS3.

Funny enough I just bumped into a big group of people on Youtube having it out over this exact topic on a E3 video.
Basically this PS3 fan was getting moody that everyone else was talking about PC games and although it was clear he was a fanboy and REALLY needed to chill out, the others were saying that PC gaming was bigger then console gaming which I just cannot agree with. I believe it used to be but now, I dont see it being half as big.
Dont get me wrong im not a PC hater, varieties the spice of life, a games a game no matter what you play it on, however I believe some are better suited then others, Shooters = PC, Platformers = Console, etc.

I don't mind. PC ports are never all that bad, although I barely ever play the console version so I'm not one to talk. And for those of us who don't have consoles but want to play Grand Theft Auto 4, ports are a good thing. Plus, there are still RTS games exclusive to PC's, as well as RPG's.

I don't think that PC gaming is dying...there are still things out there that the PC can do that the xbox/ps3/wii still can't even come close to. While they are much cheaper and have become much more advanced there is still a huge following of PC based gamers. I perfer PC over consoles because of the flexability the that PC offers. There are so many things you can do to customize your gaming experience. You can add whatever type of controller of best fits you...fully customize keys and create macros...tweak out the graphics. Mods are another big part of the game that make it fun and keep it interesting.

Battlefied 3 is coming out soon and the consoles just aren't gonna be able to support the game...but it's going to be a thing of beauty on the PC and I'll admit that I will probably have to add a 2nd GFX card to my comp. So that sucks, and is a downfall that some will have to deal with. It is expensive trying to keep up with games when you are using a PC. That's why I'm glad that consoles are competing and even stealing some of the computer gaming clients. It will force them to make it easier to keep up with the most recent games. That means cheaper PC gaming for me.

Until then I will still enjoy some games on the PC and still have fun with some buds on the PS3 and XBOX. At least until the new WoW expansion and Battlefied 3.
