This is a very very long article, but it discusses the issues of PC gaming and Piracy in great detail and probably worth reading

http://www.tweakguides.com/Piracy_1.html

anyway yeah PC gaming is not dying at least I dont think so...but it could be changing..in a bad way

to cut a long story short Basically depending on your taste in games due to piracy there could be less big long quality single player games for PC, more foucus on multiplayer (such as MMO's ehh I dont like MMO's), or micro transactions

or an episode type model (because that worked so well with the half life series)

my point is I find the Idea of not being able to play games I like, not being able to play and own the FULL game very annoying

so what does anyone else think?

from how I see it, it's not exactly that PC gaming is dying, but rather respect for PC gaming is dying

mostly because of the bullshit DRMs and the half-assed ports

sure, there were before, like RE4 or Devil May Cry 3, or Halo 2

but they weren't THAT common

also, I do honestly believe that most developers are getting paranoid about piracy and shit, I mean, sure, they have all the right to protect their work, but they're pushing it too far and they end up buttfucking the audience they wanted to get in the first place

Consoles have already done a dent in PC gaming.

PC gaming could be a lot more if consoles weren't holding it back.
