It shaved off about $5 from the price of the whole thing. Not a phenominal amount, but handy nonetheless. It does seem like the cooling might be a bit worse due to having less fans, but what do I know about cases?Anyways, it does seem like it was designed with more functionality in mind than the previous case, so I'm gonna roll it for now.
EDIT: One suggestion. The motherboard in question might not support the CPU right out of the box. It may need a BIOS update first. You can either contact the seller and ask them if the BIOS has been updated (they might have done that) or select another motherboard. The MSI 970 GAMING is pretty beefy for the price.
