Whatever, just wash your hands.
So, as part of my regular gaming news rotation I used to go to pcgamer but they changed the layout of their site a couple months ago and its just too much of a pain to navigate, it looks like a smartphone interface. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows a good pc gaming website I can include in my rotation. I tend to check destructoid, rockpapershotgun, and kotaku regularly, on top of the escapist.

There's the British site bit-tech.net. I haven't gone there much in the past couple years (out of fear I'll creep into the modding forums and get "inspired" to waste money on giant projects again), but they seem to still be a reasonable journalistic outlet.

...Crap, now I'm reading about an awesome mod project I followed for almost 4 years.

It comes to what you want. How can you really figure out what you want? Some salesman? A riviting tale of being swpt away at a certain website? Its interesting, for me, to see the variety of options and even a handful of new sites. I feel comfortable saying I'm a noob when it comes to having read much of many sites but I've causally browsed here and there.

We could just try to list as many as possible, quoting *spoiler tag* the list so it isn't repeated every post and add to it.

Browse them for yourself.

If the list gets unmanageably large, it could be broken into subjects separately quoted; journalism, critique, review, aggregation, business, history, tech, forum, etc. Separate quoted sections or a key to what the focus of the site is. Posters can stylize the list as they see fit and label the selection.

If there are any non-anglophone recommendations that would be wonderful. It can be shoddy at times; still, Chrome has a translation option that functions well.

I have heard of most but ran into a few out of searching:

PCMASTERACE.. race to mastery more like it, when it comes figuring all this shit out. [http://pcpartpicker.com/]

I'll be so bold as to suggest not to quote this post but to copy the list from a quote and then quote *spoiler tag* the revised list in order to try to keep the early clutter maintained if this thread is going to produce the equivalent of a comprehensive yellow pages listing on video game website stuff!

I'm not trying to pull some thread hijacking, this is just a suggestion and something that interests me.

OP, what do you like out of your journo sites? Another that knows more might be able to nail down a specific site that is specific to a distinct aspect that tickles your fancy. Maybe even certain writers to follow might be another question to pose along with what you want out of it. I just don't know. Are you only looking for text, or channels: video (youtube, twitch, ?) and audio (soundcloud, ?) etc?

I do not recommend seeing the reviews of a major website with their corporate reviews and criteria . Instead look for reviews on youtube made by people who can judge games much better than these website or just go to steam and look for the reviews in the recommendations section.
