You didn't play during beta then, it was full of those idiots back then.Valkyr71 said:I have fallen in love with Rifts. I think it's a btter version of WOW. Less 14 year old trolls running around telling chuck jokes or your momma jokes or being, in general, insufferable little pricks.
Whats your vote?
If my vote was based purely on how much I played the game, I too would vote for DoW 2: Retribution. But I didn't feel right voting for the game. On a multiplayer front, the addition of an army that really upset the balance of power between the existing armies (Tyranids are no longer the most numerous race, Orks simply cant often afford to choke rivers with their dead, marine durability matters for little when you're outnumbered and so very badly outgunned etc) plus new superunits that put all other units in the game to shame (Why did the Space Marines need a new super unit when they already had terminators? The Swarmlord puts the Avatar and Great Unclean One to shame and the baneblade's ability to one-shot tanks (or single anti-tank emplacements) means that, unless it is in the hands of an idiot, should a baneblade take the field against you, you've probably lost), I simply couldn't give it the nod. And the campaign is incredibly weak even if it is still quite robust.Don said:Considering that I've only bought two games so far this year (owing to massive disinterest in everything else that's come out), it has to be Dawn of War 2: Retribution; 118 hours clocked up so far, numerous skirmishes played and at least 9 playthroughs of the campaign; I'm still enjoying it considerably.
Obviously though, when Skyrim comes out, that is highly likely to take the GOTY from it, but till then, its DoW2: Retribution.
Retribution was fantastic. It took the best of Chaos Rising and vanilla DOW2, and refined it. It also finally got rid of the goddamn crashing bug for 32bit systems that came with CR, that Relic still hasn't fixed.Don said:Considering that I've only bought two games so far this year (owing to massive disinterest in everything else that's come out), it has to be Dawn of War 2: Retribution; 118 hours clocked up so far, numerous skirmishes played and at least 9 playthroughs of the campaign; I'm still enjoying it considerably.

I lagughed my ass at Yantzees review because thats how most people see pc elitits, but honestly, witcher 2 is actually easier than the first, but seriously, how do you know combat is coming right up? Great RPG.
Does not hold youre hand, has a mature story, looks great, plays great. I just dont know what more to say about it, its a gem for me.
I'd vouch for this too... its just... great.
The worst part of it for me was the fact that the shitty auto-detect graphics said my computer was naturally set to Ultra... and I was warmly welcomed into the game with Geralt running away from something, I didn't know if I was ment to see them or not because the 3 FPS I was getting didn't allow for much clarity.
After the patch its ALL GOOD![]()
