Shogun 2 Total War for me, non-stop fun

but with Saints Row The Third, Skyrim, BF3 and Batman all coming out later this year, i will probably go with one of them

+1 for the "toss-up between Witcher 2 and Portal 2" vote. Although Minecraft and Deux Ex 3 are probably going to join them.

As far as exclusives (at least so far) go, I'd have to also vote for the Witcher 2. While the game has some very serious problems from a design standpoint (and more than a few technical issues that have thankfully been largely overcome by patches), it remains the best game I've played this year.

Garshasp the Monster Slayer.
Wait, sorry. That was shit.

Haven't really played many PC exclusives this year though, so I wouldn't really know.

My vote goes to Portal 2 personally, probably the most fun i've had in a single player game in years.

I have fallen in love with Rifts. I think it's a btter version of WOW. Less 14 year old trolls running around telling chuck jokes or your momma jokes or being, in general, insufferable little pricks.

Whats your vote?
You didn't play during beta then, it was full of those idiots back then.

Considering that I've only bought two games so far this year (owing to massive disinterest in everything else that's come out), it has to be Dawn of War 2: Retribution; 118 hours clocked up so far, numerous skirmishes played and at least 9 playthroughs of the campaign; I'm still enjoying it considerably.

Obviously though, when Skyrim comes out, that is highly likely to take the GOTY from it, but till then, its DoW2: Retribution.
If my vote was based purely on how much I played the game, I too would vote for DoW 2: Retribution. But I didn't feel right voting for the game. On a multiplayer front, the addition of an army that really upset the balance of power between the existing armies (Tyranids are no longer the most numerous race, Orks simply cant often afford to choke rivers with their dead, marine durability matters for little when you're outnumbered and so very badly outgunned etc) plus new superunits that put all other units in the game to shame (Why did the Space Marines need a new super unit when they already had terminators? The Swarmlord puts the Avatar and Great Unclean One to shame and the baneblade's ability to one-shot tanks (or single anti-tank emplacements) means that, unless it is in the hands of an idiot, should a baneblade take the field against you, you've probably lost), I simply couldn't give it the nod. And the campaign is incredibly weak even if it is still quite robust.

Still, I do quite enjoy the game from a multiplayer perspective and I have, thus far, put in well over 100 hours on that front alone.

Retribution was fantastic. It took the best of Chaos Rising and vanilla DOW2, and refined it. It also finally got rid of the goddamn crashing bug for 32bit systems that came with CR, that Relic still hasn't fixed.

Right now, my top PC games are revolving between Portal 2, Witcher 2, and Retribution.

Portal 2. It is one of the most perfect gaming experiences I've ever had, I seriously love this game.

Witcher 2 is wonderful, but it feels a little hollow. It just doesn't have that extra "something" that would make it GOTY for me.

i have not played very much on PC, but my vote goes to DoW II retribution (technically an add-on, but shut up. it's stand alone), or the yet-to-be-released Might and Magic: Heroes 6

The Witcher 2. Two playthroughs, 50+ hours. Lots of content, excellent visuals and compelling story.

I am not much of a PC gamer, but I do believe witch 2 has a great chance of winning. I personally my PC Game of the Year is Hunted: The Demon's Forge or Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim, though I am probably getting Skyrim for my PS3, I havent decided yet

Does anyone have any info on the GW/40K MMO that's supposed to be out sometime in the near future? That will be my vote for PC GOTY whenever it come out.

My personal favorite game of the year is Dragon Age 2 still.

The likely winner is Portal 2. I've not played the game but it was very highly reviewed and universally liked by those around me whose played it. Not only is it the PC game of the year up, but the overall game of the year as of today.

A lot could change for other platforms as we've not even hit the big season for games yet...but I think as far as PC gaming goes, this is pretty much a lock.

Witcher 2.

Great RPG.

Does not hold youre hand, has a mature story, looks great, plays great. I just dont know what more to say about it, its a gem for me.
Ah, another member of Yahtzee's so called PC master race. Hello, glad to meet a fello :p

I'd vouch for this too... its just... great.
The worst part of it for me was the fact that the shitty auto-detect graphics said my computer was naturally set to Ultra... and I was warmly welcomed into the game with Geralt running away from something, I didn't know if I was ment to see them or not because the 3 FPS I was getting didn't allow for much clarity.

After the patch its ALL GOOD :D
I lagughed my ass at Yantzees review because thats how most people see pc elitits, but honestly, witcher 2 is actually easier than the first, but seriously, how do you know combat is coming right up? Aparently a gentrleman knows when to quicksave LOL!!

Anyway best pc exclusive so far.
