Depends what type of games your interested in. PC ports of games are getting worse and worse imo and my video cards pretty much dead at the moment. I dont think ill upgrade.

Mods, only fallout3 and WoW come to mind with mods that you need.

Basically the 360 has all the stuff PC has apart from strategy and MMORPGs. Better controls depends on a game. Racing games are terrible on a keyboard.

Since you dont know much about computers/gaming stick with the 360 you wont have any issues. PC games ive found are gettign very fiddly since developers dont really care about them.

Thanks every one for your opinions, but may I ask for one more thing? What are some good games for the PC and the Xbox? I seen some videos of Zero Punctuation, so should I trust him, go with your ideas, or just go with my gut?
Yahtzee makes valid points about games, but he focuses on the negatives. Go with your gut. It's all a matter of personal opinion. But DO get Saints Row 2. That game is the shit.

if you have the money, a PC.

Xbox is good too, and its cheap.

with the PS3 you get the PC price, and the XBOX quality.

zero punctuation is a comedy show. he exaggerates the game so its funny. following yahtzee as a real review is like treating "mind of mencia" as the actual news. go with your gut. you also need to tell us what genres you like and prefered timeline or we're flying blind trying to recommend you some games. however, the person saying that PC game quality is waning is lying through his teeth. developers still care about their games. just because there are a few bad apples doesn't mean the entire barrel is bad.
I don't really know the difference between genres, but I liked a Portal alot with its story. But I haven't played through Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4 single player, so I can't say anything about them. I like a good story (I guess, because I'm a Bookworm) and good characters.

Not true. PC's also have adventures(if you like that sort of thing). And some really awesome RPG's that were never made for any console(like Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Planescape Torment).

I'd say probably PC, there are tons of awesome indie/casual games that I'm sure would fit what you're looking for. Try out Plants Versus Zombies, World of Goo, etc.

I'm trying to really get into the game universe, try new games, and really try to see games as a "art". So I was wondering, what should I do? It looks like the PC is the best platform for games, but I already have a 360. Should I sell my 360 and buy a computer, or should I keep the xbox? And please, no flame wars.
Then you need to play "The Path", a low-end PC game. I assume you have a PC since you are here, so just give a few graphical updates and you should be good to go. You don't have to buy a new computer. If you save up, you should be able to afford a good computer and that Xbox.

My main reason for advocating a PC is the variety of games you have access to. Consoles tend to be driven by what they have rights to and the controls they have.

If you like strategy games..but not the Halo series, you can see where this becomes an issue.

That said, you might particularly like the game series' that are only available on a console.

You won't find many artistic games on the xbox I am afraid. Plenty of good indy games that could be considered as art on the PC though.

I also did consoles for a while and then got a pc capable of running good games at great graphics...
I'll never go back.
The lack of customization does it for me.
and as a Valve gamer (Portal, Hl, Tf2, etc) the pc just offers all the extras, like mods, maps and just custom content in general.

If you enjoy your Xbox, keep it.
PC has the advantages of better controls (though some will argue that is subjective,) better graphics, more functionality, and mods.
They can be prohibitively expensive, however.
But you could argue that most Xbox games get transferred to the pc as well, whereas alot of good (Killzone two, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance Two, Metal Gear Solid 4 to name a few) PS3 ones do not.
If you own a PS3 and PC (like I do) there's very few games you get to miss out on.

I would keep the 360 selling a second hand console isn't going to subsidise The price of the new PC to be worth getting rid of your current 360 games.
Unless the 360 is no longer doing it for you
