What is once hyped cannot be unhyped. It's less than a month away. It's less than a month away. It's.Less.Than.A.Month.Away.
The hype is real.

Well, the PC port of Ground Zeroes was really good, as far as I know. It runs like a charm on my machine in full HD with all other options on max. But it's a really, really small area to deal with in comparison.
The previous release date was just two weeks after console release. It's not like they could do a lot in that time period. I think the game was finished before schedule and they had more time to work on the PC version. They are delaying MGO to 2016 so there's that. Maybe that was the compromise. Release SP alongside the consoles and port MGO much later. If you read their statement on Steam it seems like they've listened to the feedback about separating graphics options. They seem to know what they're doing.

But the elephant in the room for me is that it's Konami. From what I've heard lately, it is now really difficult for me to even consider giving this company any money. I'd like to advise any developer to avoid this company at all costs. If these allegations are true, this is the fourth company I desperately whish to go bankrupt.
Why would you wish them to go bankrupt? This isn't an issue that can't be fixed with a new management.
Also, you need to get over yourself. Western consumerism is largely based on blood and sweat of children and poorest fuckin' people working in terrible conditions. People with almost no rights. And you're here debating with yourself the ethics of buying a video game because the current KONAMI management is run by idiots.
But did you ever pause to consider the possibility that one of the devices you own, or at least part of one was made by some poor soul that committed suicide a day after they've assembled it because they couldn't take it anymore? It's entirely possible. But that's out of sight and out of mind, I guess.
Just because nobody told you about it doesn't mean that you shouldn't keep in mind the possibility that ANYTHING you buy these days could have been made in a sweatshop by an 8 year old that will never have a childhood like you or me. That's the reality of the terrible world we live in. So what's the point in depriving yourself of simple pleasure like a video game? Knowing about KONAMI workforce situation doesn't really change anything. It just makes you a selfish hypocrite if you decide to ignore everything else just so you could make yourself feel better and morally superior.
Japan is not one of those countries like China and Thailand. If their workers can't fight for better working conditions that's on them. They live in a civilized country with actual labor rights. They could do something about it. And they will once they've had enough. Sooner or later.
