Hmmm...
I would strongly recommend:
The Witcher
Neverwinter 2
Dark Messiah: Heroes of Might and Magic (okay, so it's more of an action-RPG, and lasts about as long as you are willing to plough through it for the different gameplay mechanics and slightly different endings, but I still had plenty of fun with it at the time)

Fallout 1
Fallout 2
Fallout: Tactics

Bard's Tale (at least I think there's a PC version)

I'll post again if I can think of anything else.
Calling fallout tactics a good rpg to play is a blasphemy! It's an abomination and should be erased from the face of earth!!!!

Oh Jeez, can't believe I forgot and that no one else has mentioned it yet:

Gothic 2

That game is incredible. It did everything Oblivion boasted about; open world with living occupants that all went their different ways, massive plot, huge library of quests and locations to explore... and it did it *better* than Oblivion did even though it was made years earlier. It's easily one of the absolute best open-world rpg's ever made.

If you like that sort of game like Oblivion, Morrowind and Fallout, then you've got to give Gothic 2 a try. The combat takes a bit of getting used to, but once you've got it figured out it becomes surprisingly fun and the visuals, despite it being an older game, aren't half bad.

Even better you can buy the gold edition from GoG.com dirt cheap. That site is great!

Enjoy!

*ADDED*

Also worth mention is a game called Arx Fatalis. It's similar to Gothic 2 above but a bit more linear and much, much more dungeon-crawley if you could use that to describe a game. Haven't played it in years, but I remember the spellcasting system and the sheer amount of ways you could solve every puzzle and situation really impressed me at the time. Plus the level design is fantastic.

What reminded me is that it's also available at gog.com apparently. I'd say go for it... hell, now that I know they have it I'll be buying it myself in a bit.

I'm surprised by the gap in advice offered here.
If you like Diablo, try Titan Quest. That should keep you busy for two days or so nonstop. And if you ask me, it's Diablo, but vastly improved. Probably better than Diablo 3 will be too.
Guess I'm not putting much faith in D3.

And yes. Gothic 2 is awesome.

How about that Asian-themed action RPG Bioware did? Jade Empire. It's a bit heavy on the action part. But still it's a good game.

Also Knights of the Old Republic, which has been mentioned before.

Are you thinking of Fallout: Tactics? Or are you thinking of that shitty brawler game on the PS2 that had the audacity to call itself a Fallout game?

Most roguelikes are RPGs, with huge replayability. Mainly because death means your save gets deleted and dungeon levels are randomized with only a few 'standard' boss levels.

You have to enjoy this type of gameplay though. It can be.. frustrating to get within 3 rooms of winning a roguelike, getting your source of magic protection stolen and zapped with an instadeath spell.

So far, I'm enjoying the Witcher, my only problem with it is, is that according the System Requirements Lab thingy, i can play the game with flying colours, and while I can run it fine on medium, anything with a vast amount of people and such, lag it to hell..(had to switch it to low, just the Beast fight I just fought)..while not that bad, it is a nuisance
