PC - TV as monitor but no sound? ANSWERED!

I am using my 32" HD TV as a monitor via VGA cable, the screen itself is working fine but I can't play the sound out of my TV speakers.

I have tried plugging the TV to the PC via HDMI cable which works and plays sound out of the TV but the quality of the screen drops ridiculously.

is there any way i can keep the screen quality of the VGA cable, but have the TV play the sound?

Use a Male to Male audio connector from PC to TV along with the VGA connector.

VGA doesn't carry sound; use a mini-to-mini stereo audio cable

to run from the headphone jack (or computer speaker jack if you prefer) to the PC audio in on the TV (it should be next to the VGA port on the TV)
