I believe that there's sexism, racism, etc... problems in society, but I don't believe that the way to deal with it is to single out individuals for widespread problems and make them into the face of the issue. You're not encouraging anyone to change, you're just funneling ire onto someone on a scale that vastly outweighs their actions. In most of these cases you should criticize actions, and forget the person as anything more than an indication of the problem's prevalence.
Also, that blog has some of the flimsiest definitions of sexism and racism I've ever seen

From what I understand tumblr is a site for hipster shits, artists and people of infirm minds, but advertised as a safer micro blogging site. It seems to be driven by ego more than anything else you see matters of headkin or othermates or what have you and all of that has been created by the medium that the website is. It's facebook for people more autistic then normal people and less autistic then fucking ledditors or anons.
Otherwise In all fairness to 4chan i think it is better because of it's lack of insidiousness.

You know this site is not for the weak of heart but at any point you can leave, you have no information about yourself unless you were an attention whore but tumblr there is a person that can be attacked and destroyed.
Perhaps it's just perspective, nobody flinches when "the internet hatemachine" Does something with the capricious, self serving and in line with it's dark humour. But Tumblr. ohhohohoho. they think they are actually do good by doing this, this is mean for arbitrary reasons, more importantly it's not fucking funny.
It's actually rather sad when i think of it.
Back home at /tg/ and other places you had a sense that there was someone from every walk of life there, people from fucked up families, rich autistic, sociopaths, normal folks, etc. and we showed the true depth of the human spirit, showed the darkest and greatest parts of humanity as well as simply banal shit.

Tumblr being tumblr making teenagers suicidal. It's a little ironic how despite the rep the chans have they are in no realistic way nearly as abhorrent. How many people is that tumblr bullies have done this to now? Not to mention it is one of the few places that still allow doxing openly and you are allowed to have a hate blog directed at a certain person to the point of that stated goal being to make them kill them selves without repercussion. Someone with a stronger stomach than I should really dig into and investigate what other horrible things happen there, I'm willing to bet all manner of things that wouldn't pass as even acceptable on most chans.
I'm torn. On one hand there is absolutely no reason for people to be dicks like that. On the other, as someone who was bullied and tortured as a kid in ways that would make the CIA blush, only you make the call to suicide out or not. I can't say one was responsible for the other, just that they were dicks and she decided to commit suicide. she may have done it anyway, she may not have, but if you let other people influence you to the point they can make the call for you to suicide or not... I never let them have that victory even with everything that was done to me, so I have a hard time feeling for those who do. It jaded me, think of me as a bad person if you want but I simply can't imagine random dickheads on the internet being enough to push someone to that point.
