I have gotten REALLY annoyed when I'm playing another game and my friend sends me a message telling me to get on cod5 (Cod:WaW). I need to tell him EVERY time that its not Cod5 its called Call of duty: World at War. I also tell him that the game hasn't even been released yet. Anyone agree with me?

Not really, I doubt you want to type Call of Duty: World at War on a message apart from on the PC.
And since World at War is the fifth one out, it can be named Call of Duty 5.

Same as Guitar Hero 4

What is cod? I have a game called World At War. Is that what you mean? Because that's the first one. Not the fifth.

I still think it is REALLY annoying and I know that some people are going to be calling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare:2 Cod6.

It's kinda annoying. I mean there is a Call of Duty: Finest Hour for the previous generation of consoles but it doesn't have a number. Various other Call of Duty games have titles without a number but whatever. I think that the creators though should have gone ahead and named it Call of Duty 5.

As someone above has mentioned, you're already shortening the title to 'COD' rather than call of duty, so you're doing something very similar yourself

I agree.
As far as I can see, it is the 5th Call Of Duty game in the series, thus making it CoD5, regardless of it having or not having the number in the title.
Abbreviations are the way forward, in most cases.
It saves time, and yet, if you call it CoD5 or WaW people will still understand what you are going on about.

I think they should just plain stop making sequels...
I COMPLETELY AGREE ON THAT STATEMENT!
try to not do complete comments in caps lock, i've seen people getting suspended for that on here. Check out the forum guidelines so as not to anger the mods.

With regard to the highlighted part, what are you talking about? World at War has been available for months. Seriously though, does it really bother you that much?
