People need to learn to read game boxes

Here's my thoughts-

If it's the Call of Duty game that came out after Call of Duty 4, then I'm gonna call it Call of Duty 5. I don't care if it's actually Call of Duty 18.

You know why people call it CoD5? Because saying to your friend "Want to play some Call of Duty World at War" makes you sound like a tosser. WaW came after number four, it is the 5th game. You know what, I'm going to call Modern Warfare 2, CoD6 as well because Modern Warfare 2 is a fucking stupid name to call a video game. Thank God they decided to get rid of the "Call of Duty" from the "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2", that would have been much worse.

The 5th game in a series is not always 5 and vice versa. Just look at Resident Evil or Final Fantasy. You should always use the official name.

Call of Duty always uses the same concept and still hasn't gotten rid of it. Level up, get awards, prestige, repeat. They really need to get a smarter and different concept. The only thing i agree in that entire process is the prestige. It shows how long you've played the game and how much of a life you have used up so far.

Always? Wasn't that an original concept in MW1?

I personally believe they are leaving out the numbers on certain games just to create scenarios like this that bother people.

And since World at War is the fifth one out, it can be named Call of Duty 5.

Same as Guitar Hero 4

It is far from the fifth one out. There have been plenty of so-called sequels to COD 1 and people back then probably called it COD2 until COD2 actually came out.

I have gotten REALLY annoyed when I'm playing another game and my friend sends me a message telling me to get on cod5 (Cod:WaW). I need to tell him EVERY time that its not Cod5 its called Call of duty: World at War. I also tell him that the game hasn't even been released yet. Anyone agree with me?
