I like my 3rd parties because I've noticed the fact that everyone with ipods needs to get a new one every year since they conveinently break.

For a year I've had this $50 2gb (Kind of wish it were bigger but whatever) flash memory sandisk player. It's great and I've never had problems with it.

Well I have a 4 Gb Creative Zen...something with upgradable space. I might need that extra space soon as my Mp3 is almost full of music that I have acquired from...various sources. Creative players have been reliable and sturdy with good amount of space, so that's what I use.

Anyway, I usually listen to music with it during bus rides, or when I'm bored at work...At home I have my music collection on my computer and occationally Youtube.

Oh yeah, also, I use Spotify frequently to search for new music and listen to stuff I don't have.

I bought a cheap one for about 25 Euros at a local electronics discounter, made by some firm called Ricatech I never heard of.
It's got 8 GB, you simply plug it into the USB-slot, it has a microphone and some other features I don't really use and - the best part! - I can replace the battery without buying a separate set sending it to Apple.
It's a simple MP3-player, it's not as sleek as an iPod but it's very light and I'm happy with it, much happier than I was with the iPod I used to use.

Slacker G2 (or whatever it's called)... It Auto updates the music on it to cater to my preferences (using wi-fi)... other than that, I use my 4gb 2nd gen Nano... and a Phillips GoGear 8gb video player...

Wow,

I'm surprised people can actually listen to music off their phones without their ears beginning to bleed.

I have a creative zen with 60 quid headphones, after buying my sound system I just can't listen to music of a lower quality so I have to end up paying large quantities of money to enjoy the music.

I use iPods but I love Creative Zens and it's the reason I even checked out this thread. Almost everyone in my family has them because they're the only MP3s I buy for anyone. They use to be the top selling MP3 players at my store, but for some stupid reason we stopped carrying them. Supposedly because we never had them in stock. Why? Because I sold them quicker than Creative could make them. Such a shame...

I also use a Creative Zen. Nice and compact, and seeing that my very first mp3 player was also a Creative, it seems like a nice follow up.

Anyone remember these compact blighters?:

They were comparable in size to a 360 controller, and the first one I bought had a capacity of 2Gb, if even that.
