Ron Pearlman, Christopher Walken, Kirsten Bell come to mind. Also musicians like Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix etc. Oh yeah and Vinnie Jones...people are just too afraid to say they don't like him :p

Well, I can only think of one person. Scooby, the bodybuilder that gives you great workout tips on YouTube. This man is impossible to hate, and anyone that does is a complete butt! He is charismatic, he doesn't sell you bullshit like "Twinkies give you a larger penis and hawt chixxxx lulzz0rzz h4xx".

No sir, this gentleman may have a slightly dry sense of humor, and he uses a garden gnome to make fun of himself, but he is, in every way possible, a great person and will forever be in my heart as the only person I've seen that I do not hate. And I hate everyone. Because I'm emo and my life is sad, or something like that, christ I'm completely losing track and BLOW IT I <3 this man, I love him like I love pie. A whole damn lot!

I want to marry him and if you haven't seen his clips you should go to YT this instant and and love him like I do!

Then there's this guy:

I know it's more of an internet thing, but the Old Spice Guy is brilliant, I'm pretty sure nobody is tired of this charismatic stallion. Also, he should totally play the Black Panther.

So, fellow escapists, is there anybody you think is pretty much liked by everybody? (Who knows about them of course).

This thread is now diamonds!
Dammit Daystar, by mentioning the Old Spice guy in the very 1st post, you pretty much put me out of options! D:
I'm sorry. I'll try not to be so awesome next time :D

Stephen Fry

Umm, I don't like Stephen Fry. There's just something about him that really grates against me. I think it's his smarminess, I find him really egotistical and just, well, smarmy. And I think he just plays up to it, people like him because he's a bit comfortable with himself and what he says, he isn't afraid to say something a bit harsh, or be a bit egotisical. And I really don't like it.
I've watched QI, Blackadder, all that sort of stuff. I like the shows, just not him.
I guess that's part of his charm and that's why so many people like him. But I really really don't - just like Jeremy Clarkson. I don't like him either, even with a tablespoon of salt.

Now excuse me while I prepare my +3 flame shield because I think I'm going to need it.

You should read his biography, he actually mentions that some people find him a little arrogant which is odd because he has quite a low opinion of himself. Give it a read, you may think differently of him.

I want to say Stephen Fry right along with the OP, but every single time my grandmother visits us she makes a point of sighing and saying "I used to like Stephen Fry until I found out he is homosexual. Now I can't watch anything with him in because I feel so disgusted."

It's usually at this point that I have to leave the room before I start screaming.

So instead I'm going to copy Daveman and say Hugh Dennis. Everybody loves Hugh Dennis.
I'm still totally into Stephen Fry, but recently he made a major gaffe while talking about the atomic bomb before going to Japan to film. A lot of Japanese people aren't very happy with that.

May I suggest his partner in crime, Hugh Laurie?

Are we counting fictional character, too? Because I haven't met anyone who dislikes Gordon Freeman.

Hmm, I'll see if anyone has a copy I can borrow. The only problem is a lot of my friends know I don't like him, so them seeing me reading his biography will sound alarm bells. I'll be happy to read it though, knowing that he acknowledges that people like me exist.

Pitchforks. Post-haste, chaps!
I laughed - then I realised that I was in mortal danger of being impaled.

Queen, as in the band. I can't see how anyone can listen to Queen and be put in a bad mood by this. Unless Brian May killed your Mom or something.

He's made some of the worst films to ever grace our screens, and he's almost never seen doing interviews - but I've yet to meet anyone who dislikes him.

That's maybe because other people actually like his movies. I loved him in PoTC, Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissor Hands and Ed Wood.
