To be fair though, telling someone your name means "Dragon Born" would be kinda neat. Would certaintly go over well through grade school.

I found the name Barbie Dahl quite funny and the parents were obviously trolling their new born.

I know a Ken Doll, he's older than the line of toys though. And any girl's name followed by "Doll" sounds like a porn name.

I went to school with a "Peter Pan", but that had more to with cultural misunderstanding, his parents are Korean immigrants.

I've heard of some dumb names but naming your kids are STDs is jsut dumb. No, I don't care if it's pronounced differently, no kids will ever say it properly so you'll have your kids being referred to as genital illnesses throughout their life. Doesn't matter if it's their kid.
If they're the reason that kid is made fun of, it doesn't matter if they're the parents, they're still fucking douchebags.
The kid will live a life, and if a kid is named "Vagina" (seriously!), that will probably have a negative effect on their life.
So no, they shouldn't be allowed to name them "whatever". They really shouldn't.
