So I was browsing on Youtube and I found this guy called the Amazing Atheist who talks about politics and pop culture and whatnot. After watching a few of his videos, I realized that while I agree with most of the things he said, I hated listening to him. He comes off as angry, disrespectful, and really douchey, and while I'm guessing that's kind of his shtick, it's still pretty annoying.

So are there famous people like this who you agree with on a lot of things, but don't like? Anyone from politicians to news anchors to celebrities to people who rant on Youtube.

Loads of people. I just dismiss them and find others who share my opinion and who aren't massive tools.

If I absolutely had to choose someone it would be any of those people capitalising on being atheist, like Hitchens or Dawkins.

Charlie Sheen and Hitler, for basically the same reason; they remind me of extreme ends of myself.

And before there is an outcry, I like Hitler because he proved that you can manipulate entire countries, and also that if you regear hard enough, you can use a single country to take over a continent. (By extension, the idea that by extreme focus in the right places, you can achieve otherwise impossible challenges)
I hate him because he decided to make throw it all away by mounting a doomed invasion into Russia that stretched his forces past their limit and lost him the war, and because he committed genocide. (Ie, he went to far and went crazy; he couldn't take the above philosophy far enough)

I love Sheen because I chime with his bizarre statements, and they seem to explain ideas that I otherwise have trouble expressing. I hate him because this means I might be insane.

While this person isn't famous (he's just a blogger) but I starting to dislike him recently.
He blog episode reviews and these days I just dislike his attitude in that review and missing out certain aspect of that episode.
Granted I still agreed on him on a few things he dicuss on that episode but most of the time I just dislike his view on a certain character and missing out worth while discussion valve from that episode.

While I did read the situation (the kid was nuts and using a pellet gun and the cop probably couldn't see it was a fake given the sight from his distance) but couldn't the cop shoot him in the arm or leg to disarm him?
You're not from round here, are you?

I thought as much, and I agree with your point of view; lethal shots aren't necessary. On the other hand, if you shot me in the knee, I might still be able to shoot back (or kill a hostage or whatever). There are arguments in favour of shooting to kill...

Well sadly there is nobody who agrees with me on every single issue, and my cause to dislike people is usually because of the differences if I agree with them on so many things yet find room for dislike.

Peoples attitudes who annoy me but seem to have the right idea are fellow atheists who don't always give the best answers to religious people when under questioning =P

He didn't... He never took the UK... Noone has since the Normans in 1066!

And wow... You hate Hitler because he took on Russia and lost... more than because he massacred Jews, Gypsies, and the hundreds and thousands of soldiers grafted by there countries to fight for their freedom...

Right...

I hate him because he failed in the philosophy I follow. He understood the extent to which you can radically re-purpose things to your own advantage, but he failed to apply it to himself, and so he went crazy. Hence he slaughter the Jews and started a fight against a second world power.

By the way, try to make sure you don't fall into Reducto ad Hitlerum [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_Hitlerum], wont you?
