...and yeah, pretty much this too. Hitler had a fantastic opportunity considering he was top dog of Germany and had enormous amounts of power, but he wasted it all on hatred and stupidity.
At least he gave Europe a stable Government system (well, at least France - don't know about elsewhere)
But he only achieved his enormous amounts of power because of his stupidity and hatred, you can't divorce that from his ideology.

It's not like he had the right idea then went bad somewhere along the way. He always wanted to kill the jews, and he always wanted to exterminate a whole load of eastern europeans to get more land for ethnic germans to live on.

Someone saying they agree with Hitler is either a. a troll or b. stupid or c. a nazi.
Your argument is obviously invalid.

No one ever came to power through being a douche-bag.
Sure they have, if at the time and place, douchebaggery is popular. Hitler would not have achieved power without pretty much all aspects of nazi ideology.

the gave the whole of Europe a good fight because he realised that a fascist state is by far the most efficient state,
The most horrific conlfict in all of human history 'a good fight'? Seriously?

Also, fascism as the most efficient political ideology?

I take it back ,there's an extra option: d: crazy.
Thats not an argument, freind. Come back when you can manage a 'because' at least =)

Well said.

Saying you admire Hitler for his leadership abilities, is like following a blind man off a cliff because he was well spoken. I can make a top ten list why why Hitler failed at his "leadership" of his Military forces, and his gov't. But the list in fact would be more like top 20 or 30

Bono and Chris Martin come to mind. They're absolutely right about more needing to be done for Africa, but my god are they douchebags!

This whole Hitler conversation
Okay, I'm confused. How is respecting Hitler's political/military tactics the same thing as agreeing with him?

You can argue his effectiveness or tactics as a leader all you want, but Hitler was anti-semetic long before he was a powerful leader, and it was a very important part of his character. Saying you "agree" with him implies you share the same anti-semetic beliefs which I bet is why people are weirded out that you said that.

Also, I'm guessing you only said Hitler because you think it's edgy or controversial. There are much more brilliant and successful leaders throughout history, including dictators. (Ghengis Khan comes to mind.)

If you find someone who brings valid points, but acts arrogantly. You ignore them.
If that same person throws a couple of jokes and an accent, then he's Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.

People can learn from that man....

Anyone mention Jim Sterling? (yes) He sometimes comes off as a troll a lot on Destructoid and his show here. His posts have an air of sensationalism to them and his show "The Jimquisition" makes good points but then he's smug about it, either as some kind of joke or because he really is smug. I can't tell.

EDIT: Yeah someone did mention him...
smug hmm?

I dont know..he's so rediculously over the top and camp that any smugness or whatever...you cant take it seriously

I agree with you on Amazing Atheist. I agree with him on a lot of things, but the reasoning behind them and the way he explains them is just so mindbogglingly retarded I can't help but think he's an idiot.

Umm... Hard to say. I generally hate people because of their ass backwards views, so finding someone I hate but agree with is a hard deal.

But on note, I do not like some Atheists. I don't believe in anything religious, so I technically fall under the "Atheism" category, but I do not approve of bashing religion and generally referring to them as "morons" and whatnot.

and also that if you regear hard enough, you can use a single country to take over a continent. .
He didn't... He never took the UK... Noone has since the Normans in 1066!

And wow... You hate Hitler because he took on Russia and lost... more than because he massacred Jews, Gypsies, and the hundreds and thousands of soldiers grafted by there countries to fight for their freedom...

Right...
I hate him because he failed in the philosophy I follow. He understood the extent to which you can radically re-purpose things to your own advantage, but he failed to apply it to himself, and so he went crazy. Hence he slaughter the Jews and started a fight against a second world power.

By the way, try to make sure you don't fall into Reducto ad Hitlerum [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_Hitlerum], wont you?
*facepalm*

It's not a reductio ad hitlerum because you compared yourself to Hitler. It wasn't someone else unfairly maligning you, it was you.

I don't believe you anyway, obvious troll.
He is no troll my son, but he is trolling in a way by trying to make you think he is trolling, a kind of meta-troll if you will. I agree to be honest.
