Pretty damn good, except some things take way too many shots to die.

Really good.

The game is rough though, very bleak. It's not so much about beating the game, moreso about scraping by and surviving long enough to get to the end I thought it was fun, though I'm not sure you should pay 50 bucks for it.

The whole bullets as currency thing turned me right off of it. That and I kinda got bored with it after a couple hours and just never went back. It just didn't grab me like it should have. I am enjoying Singularity much more than Metro.

I thinked metro was great untill: SPOILER SPOILER WARNING SPOILER ALERT! The librarians and the mutated fabric workers came on a wisit than the game shited over it self and started rolling around in it. (the librarians raped me so hard so in the end i had no ammo left so I've killed over 7 librarians whith the main knife but several times it was the same one cos' I died a lot but I still went rambo on'em untill I gave up.

Absolutely great game. I didn't notice any problems on the 360 mentioned in this thread, and you barely ever notice the whole bullets as currency thing, unless you sort of suck at FPS's. No offense, but ammo was still pretty easy to find. Plus throwing knives are the strongest thing in the game. The second hardest enemy in the game, Demons, can be killed with a couple of throwing knives.

OT: It looked alright to me. I might consider getting it if I get another 5870. Otherwise it looks like it will be an almighty struggle to run at good settings.

In spite of the headshot problem most people have highlighted, I say splash out and buy it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, linearity and all.

While you're at it, buy the book. The game does an excellent job at recreating the oppressive atmosphere in the Metro.

awesome game but it would have been more awesome if it was more open ended like S.T.A.L.K.E.R which was made by some of the team that made metro

Good, could have been great if they removed 90% of the mutants and added more ghosts and anomalies.

The atmosphere and world design is incredible. The actual game bits aren't all that interesting.
