it's suddenly dawned on me that Perfect Dark is coming to Xbox in exactly 1 week. I mean the original (and only!) Perfect Dark game, you know, the one that was just like Goldeneye, but somehow even better!

I was just wondering, for all those who've got a 360, if Im alone in this excitement, or if every1s pretty hyped up about this? and, more importantly, will it still be as awesome as we remember it, or will it look dated next to all the modern day stuff? I personally believe (or maybe that's 'hope') that the gameplay will stand the test of time, and surely the graphical overhaul will help make it easier on the eyes.

course if you didn't like the original PD on the N64 then you can still post saying why not. I just won't like you very much :p

I will look into it, however I wonder how they will have changed controls and the like.

I still have the original Perfect Dark poster on my wall, so I am not a fanboy ...honest.

I think it can be pretty good. Nintendo should have kept their paws on Rare, well, there's no way Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie or Perfect Dark would appear on the Shop Channel. I love having an Xbox.

It probably won't be as good as you think it was... Although saying that I do still enjoy a good game of excitebike...
I dunno, I played PD with a buddy a few weeks ago, and it still blew away MW2 IMO.

I can't wait :)

They didn't really have a choice as I don't think Rare was actually owned by Nintendo. When Microsoft came over and said "Take these bags of money, we own you now" Nintendo had to cut their losses.

OT: I'm not going to be buying it. I wasn't a massive fan of the original (it was still a good game, mind) but I actually own the N64 version. Why would I pay for a game I already own with the box, instructions etc only this time it's a purely digital copy and with online multiplayer?

Theres you problem your comparing a game to Mw2... Oh that was a burn!

Seriously though Mw2 is no where near what Fps's have to offer. As much as I love an old game I do love new ones. If that makes any sence at all.
nah it's all good, I was really just using MW2 because it's at the top of the heap at the moment.

For me, the only shooter that has come close to replicating the amount of fun I had with PD was Gears of War.

In terms of multi-player, no game since has topped it for me, which is sad that 10 years later PD still had the best multi-player out there.

I enjoy the new games, but I could pick up PD right now, and have as much, if not more fun

To simply put: Its going to be awesome!!!

I can't wait to set up some slpitscreen bot matches.
hell yeah, thats what made PD multiplayer so wiked cool to play! I dont know about balancing and spawn points and such, cos I was about 12 when I last played it lol, but it'd be wiked to have a set game, with certain bots setup no matter how many actual people are online or not? it'd be like a L4D drop-in system for the AI, which I think would be pretty cool.

plus I wanna set up a match with all those 'peace bots' or whatever, the ones that would only ever try to disarm you, that was fuckin awesome!
