What would be the perfect game for you personally and what would it be about?

I don't know if this is possible.

But is it possible to make an RTS that scales to extremely large proportions but does not require incredible APM

Like Homeworld but... with a more intuitive control scheme I guess?
Like Sins of a Solar Empire?

You've pretty much described Sins of a Solar Empire there.

The only thing that stands in between Sins and near perfection is a solid story campaign... or in fact... ANY kind of campaign. Its just vs. AI or multiplayer for that game.

A game where all you do is explore. No story, no other human characters, just you, wilderness, and whatever happens to be on the island. Plenty of hidden collectibles that give rewards for finding them, like giving you tools so you can reach more places on the island. That would be awesome. No feelings of being rushed, just pure, blissful exploration.

I think that the Metal Gear series is perfect for me. Brilliant story, wonderful controls. I can run-n-gun or sneak like a....snake. Or I can do both.

I'm currently plying MGS4 on a no alerts non lethal play through. Brilliant game.

Like Oblivion or fallout, except instead of big expansions every now and again that you pay large chunks of cash for you get single mission strands released once a week or so either for free or for very little. This is so you never run out of things to do, or at least that illusion is created.

Or if the game engine generated extra missions for you or something, just so you're never left as a hyper powered, over armed and armored hero of the land with nothing left to do of any worth.

A fantasy rpg that perfectly simulates the lives of all its inhabitants and reacts to the player's actions in real time. Each person would have their own unique opinions based on their lives, news would travel by word of mouth or whatever technology level exists, clearing out bandits would allow more caravans to pass through enriching the local merchants, looters would begin following the player around to scavenge the battlefields in their wake...

Oblvion, but make every province of Tamriel open and explorable, with quests in every area. Put in as much work for each province as was put in for Cyrodill
OR, A Pokemon FPS. I have NO idea how it would work, but that would be awesome too.

A deep, expansive, RPG with lots of varied environments and locations and with literally hundreds of choices for spells and magic usage.

Oh, and you must be able to gain the ability to fly.

The Legend of Dragoon's combat systems is a MUST. For magic,I'm particularly fond of Final Fantasy VIII drawing, but I'd rather not have to do the number crunching of Junctioning,s leave Junctioning out.
The game would require a VERY good plot. One that's deep, and complex, and will come to light slowly as the game progresses. The characters need to be dynamic, and for this to happen properly...No voice acting. Seriously. Too many potentialy good characters were made meh by bad voice acting. The characters also need to evolve psychologicaly. Also...Stay FAR AWAY from the angsty emo-teen. Give me a 25-40 year old veteran,or a 20 year old who got themselves into a combat situation...And need someone to dig them out.
The controls need to make sense. I don't want to hit one button, only to find out it does the EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANT! I want the game to always be a challenge,so have the enemies level with you...But make them level a tiny bit FASTER than you. Furthermore, make equipment actually matter! Also, the soundtrack needs to be good, and fits each situation accordingly. Have Jeremy Soule and Nobuo Uematseu collaborate for the soundtrack. Finally, the camera angles...Look to ye olde RPGs for those. Like The Legend of Dragoon.
Now...If only the guys who make games actually read these...

Probably a dinosaur physicist who solves crimes using the same reasoning style as Sherlock Holmes. He's Amoralist and Atheist and his achievements in physics have led to the proper colonisation of Mars. Because of a special compound which is stronger than steel and turns to the colour of brass on the martian surface, the cities on mars take a more "Steam-Punk" look and feel. The metal remains chrome/metallic on earth giving it a more common Science-fiction future look and feel.

The physicist, being a product of a his own Genetic experiments (Because he mastered genetics as a hobby) has to solve a mystery about a rouge genetics organisation who has been producing dangerous creatures and has started developing machines which feed off "Will to live" in humans for a power source power. This leads him to have to travel in-between Earth, Mars, the Moon, and various permanent space station settlements.

You know, or whatever.

oh, or a halo game that followed halo 3 were half of the forerunner were sent into a space jump that was calculated to take 3 years for them and took the time from the detonation of the halo's to the time 5 years after all the flood was erased from the galaxy and the reason they weren't eliminated was because they were a rebellion force who were planning to rule the universe after all the flood were gone. 3 more games, were you play as rookie from ODST for the first game, the spartan you play in reach if he lives or as one of the remaining Spartans in the universe, and then at the end of it, they crash land on a foreign planet about to be glassed for no apparent reason after getting on the 2nd in commands ship and killing him, and find cortana and the chief's ship, and the planets starts to gets glassed in the distance as you see the chief stand out of his container, and cut to next game for the end of the series were you play as the chief.

something that combines a good and realisticish (that sounds awesome when you say it out loud)
story with an intuitive & realistic combat (lets say ufc 2010 combined with batman arkham asylum..but with more lethality added and maybe a katana or two thrown into the mix)

has absolutely no cars whatsoever

sandbox-ish

only has melee weapons which arent too OP (except the aforementioned katana which can only be countered with a katana which should probably be a boss fight or so)

it should also have a neat sword-fighting system that involves blocking parrying and dodging...and getting sliced would be just that....getting sliced... instead of losing HP or so..if your leg gets sliced its off..and hello death-from-blood loss

also it should have the possibility of stealth if chosen so which should be challenging and fun but it shouldnt enforce stealth or direct action..giving player the choice

choices should have long lasting effects which actually matter

im tired so thats all i could think off....4:30 AM...

A game that is about my evil plans. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *ahem*
Actually, pretty much just Fallout 3 but like x100,000,000. I mean like huge and forever expanding without a level cap and always adding new enemies for the challenge and the story never ends. Oh and co-op so I can roam the wasteland with a friend.
EDIT: Just thought of some new stuff. Also drive-able vehicles and more customization. And more choices that have huge effects over the game.
